On one hand I was always surprised they bothered making tattoos instead of just branding. On the other hand I imagine the constant screams get tiring after some time and you'll need to reheat the branding device every time.
And I guess branding is less visible at a glance than black ink.

It is brought up all the time, and its the same shit over and over again. "women with tats are ugly" fucking millions of times. Even happened when the white woman told the nigger to fuck off, was used to degrade her as some sort of "white trash" because she had some on her arm.

Tattoos went to shit the moment they went mainstream, which was mostly late 1990s early 2000s.

Gang members get a pass, as do arthoes/artfags who put some autistic commitment into it. Plus ex-military, sailors, etc.

First since let's say since the year 2012 or so the most common look I see or people born past 1982 or so has been danger Hair colors and bad tattoos (especially chest tattoos on women). I think you all know the look I'm talking about. But his trend its been going over a decade now and this trend is still going on. Why does the danger hair look have so much longevity??celebrities and other famous people dont dress or look this way and good luck finding much TV characters as well...

I agree. Sick forearm tats add to the aesthetic of police bodycam videos though.

What's the consensus on "secret" tattoos? Like something between spouses that's never visible to anyone else? This situation is almost never within the context of a solid marriage since the tattoo crowd is overwhelmingly bad-decision makers.

I don’t have any, I don’t want any and I think most look crap. I’ve also seen a few that do look interesting, and i don’t really care if people have them. Your body, your skin, your choice. Genuinely quite ambivalent about them (do enjoy the bad tattoos thread though.)
I used to have a colleague who was getting a full sleeve and leg done and she’d show me every single bit of it. All the way up the thigh, in the office. Inappropriate… I have no idea why. I just politely non-reacted, but she kept on showing me. It was really poorly done, cost her a fortune, and every time she’d mock me for being too ‘chicken’ to get a sleeve done. Another colleague had one to remember a lost baby, bless her, can’t really get mad about that, it seemed to help her somehow.
Used to know a few old geezers who got them in various wars, you always got a good story out of them if you asked.
