I had a conversation with portalanon some time ago. He treats himself for similar issues with substances he's suggested to Tax, and seems to be rather spiritual about it all. The obvious consequences of this approach have already begun to happen, as anyone can see.

New wine tasting video!
Taxman reveals that he spent the last 2 nights sober, which most be some sort of record for him. He then spends a large part of the video with his beak shoved into his wine glass. For such a classy past time taxman goes about wine tasting like a slob.

Wow, who'd have thought Tax would post his own info in public like that? That is so unlike him.

Well, Taxman referred to the room in question as "one of our family rooms," and later in the video, he mentioned that he'd been hoarding his empties for more than three years. I wouldn't be surprised if his mother rarely ventured into that part of the house. It doesn't seem like his family is particularly eager to engage with him.

Oh, I didn't realise the house was so big.
It looks fairly small if you consider that what appears to be the front door and the kitchen are right next to the room in question.

Yes, but it's right across from the kitchen, which his mother undoubtedly uses.
 
Every time someone goes on so eagerly about their sexual escapades (or fantasies) like this, I cannot help but recall that line from The Room: "Anyway, how is your sex life?" Because it comes out of nowhere, is utterly tactless and unabashed, and confuses what's supposedly an intimate and personal act with idle chatter. And also is hilarious, but I'm sure that goes without say.

He was mostly a tulpafag. Although I should point out that much like Jin, he hates tulpae. But he did have some ego issues, which could be an early sign of being a conspiracy theorist.
