Taylor isn't lying, the Nazis and Russians are going back in time to edit the past just like they did to frame Joy Ann Reid by putting homophobic posts on her old blog. Taylor needs to report this to the @FBI like Joy did.
 
at this point it seems a foregone conclusion about what will happen here. it may take one more scandal but it's coming- it's too embarrassing to have many more of these.
  • the Post will dispose of Lorenz, she will "resign" and part ways.
  • the Post will make a big deal about how all these inexplicable, regrettable, isolated foibles are now in the past, now that the sole and only responsible party has been removed, and Journalism may go back to being unquestioned now thankyouverymuch
  • a bunch of women and womanish men will accuse the Post of scapegoating a bright, resourceful YOUNG woman due to startling institutional misogyny which will be illustrated by a story of how some old white lib editor once criticized a proud female reporter one time
  • then whatever scant scraps of institutional prestige remain at the paper will be solemnly handed over to the women whose job it is to write about how everyone wants to touch black women's hair and how this is a national crises.

Dave Weigel retweeted a joke about women (they're either bipolar or bisexual) that had all the shrills screech at WaPo, he gets suspended. Lorenz repeatedly fails in the context of journalism 101 and remains.

Didn’t see anyone else mention this, but she already unprivated her account. I don’t think she ever stopped tweeting. Her account activity in the last 24 hours is really ridiculous, seemingly hourly for a long period of that time slot.

You can't suspend someone who will take to Twitter to war against you using the very people who subscribe and who your employees hold in high esteem due to their (bipolar) Twitter behavior. Weigel was contrite and had already apologized publicly before they suspended him due to their other (bipolar) employees on the warpath so they knew they were safe. (Also Weigel is kinda a pussy.)
