The Substack market is not only crowded - it's crowded with people who do what Taylor does, but better. There's like 1,000 people who do "internet culture" stuff on there, most of whom are younger than her and don't charge as much. Even they don't rely on it as their sole source of income. Nobody can afford to subscribe to all of them, the ones who got there 2 years ago are the ones doing well.

I'm excited to read her without an editor. She was never a good writer at the best of times, and now she's lost that and any fact-checking/legal help.

Summary: Game developer who worked on the game goes through detail the process of this failed racing game tied into the Fast & Furious License. Instead of just focusing on making a fun action racing game the leads of development pretty much ruined the game because they were reading circle jerk lefty game tweets and posts from Resetera. This included adding LGBT+ flags all over the game and a bunch of non-binary crap. But it wasn't just visual pandering, they decided to make it impossible for cars to spin out or have anything resembling a challenge so children wouldn't be frustrated, which if you've ever played a racing game you know that the risk of messing up is what keeps the game exciting. They also added a convoluted Multiplayer mode in an attempt to be like Overwatch and no one ever played it. The failure of this game wound up causing the studio to close.
