Got some extra cozytime tea. Probably not the best, but it does help me sleep.

When I was in Hong Kong, I used to go to this place called TenRen's Tea. They had this iced lemon tea that was fucking amazing, especially in hot weather.

At home, my mother drinks a particular brand of orange pekoe that I'm used to and is good with sugar (no milk).

When I live abroad, I take whatever I can get but English breakfast if I can find it, although Japan has this brand of Royal Milk Tea that is pretty good.

Anyone know if Jesse’s Tea House is decent supplier, and if not who a good Chinese/Taiwanese source would be for whole leaf tea at a non-retarded price. My brother decided to order some shit from him and I have to teach him how to use a gaiwan now.

Anyone know a good travel teaset or one of those infusers for mugs? I’m trying to drink tea more in the afternoon at work and our coffee machine has a hot water spout.

I have no idea what type it is but my mate gets it sent from Iran and it’s the best tea I’ve ever tasted.
For plebeian bagged tea, it has to be Yorkshire tea
Personally I'm usually going to be going Lapsang Souchong and matcha.

I have a Rishi Tea simple brew teapot that I leave at work. Easy to clean, easy to use. Keeps the leaves from my pu erh out.
It works, but expect retarded questions from your coworkers.

You can get various types of metal infusers on eBay and Amazon. I use a basket because it's easiest to load and empty, but I do have cylinder shaped infusers stashed at a couple of relatives' houses because the size and shape tucks into the cutlery drawer with less annoyance for them. You can get empty tea bags for you to make up your tea to taste without having to clean up an infuser or your lunch room though, and if you have the type of management (or office chicks who think that they're management) who get obsessive over cleanliness, your own tea bags are generally faster and neater to clean up from. I wouldn't recommend silicone infusers; many of them are adorable to look at, but they're a pain to load, put together and clean.

I like Stash's Double Bergamot.
I was catching up in the thread after not reading for a couple years, saw the post where you noted you like your Earl Grey with extra bergamot and was about to recommend that if it didn't get mentioned. It's one of my favorites that I always keep in stock.

Sadly, the only store that regularly carries it in my area has ceased doing so. Downside: I have to turn to Amazon to supply another item. Upside: Amazon sells it by the 100 count case.

Maybe a hot take, but Twining's is overrated. Earl Grey isn't supposed to be as strong as an English Breakfast for example, but Twining's tastes entirely too weak. Bigelow's isn't exactly fancy, but at least it's a decently strong brew.

I can say most "tea" isn't actually proper tea (if you are American). Ya'll need to get some real shit.

I love oolong and barley tea. I don't mind more herbal or fruity blends either. Peach tea is also great. I also love matcha and popped rice tea.

I went through a year long sweet tea binge lol. but I dont drink it anymore. i do that all the time with foods and drinks, just consume it and little else for a long time and then basically never again. Or like 4-5 days in a row and then not for another month or two.

harney and son's little women orchard house blend is wonderful

My husband ran out of the tea we generally buy for his cold brew tea so I had him select something from my hot tea stash, he ended up opting for Harney and Sons' Tokyo blend and I have to say, it really does make a lovely iced tea. Just a suggestion for the hot season- we ended up getting a 1 lb bag of it since I already have a few of the tins to store it in, and I actually think I enjoy it equally both ways.

High quality sencha, mostly from Uji.
Taiwanese Oolongs.
When it comes to black, i really like certain teas grew in Tanzania n Rwanda, they give you a bread crust aftertaste.
Otherwise Ceylon or when it comes to mixes, irish breakfast is the one I prefer.

I picked up a small box of maple ice wine herbal tea at the dollar store recently and tried it for the first time. It was surprisingly decent, though i've never been a huge fan of maple or wine in general. But everything together was a nice combination. It feels like the kind of herbal tea you'd want on if you like your tea a little on the sweeter side, it isn't something i'd add sugar to, or anything else for that matter. I'd recommend trying it

Also bought a similar box of tea there that says its a maple cranberry herbal tea, haven't tried it yet though. The ingredients listed chicory though so i'm kind of leaning toward it being more similar to one of those coffee substitutes

I love a warm cup of peppermint tea in the cold months. 1/2 teaspoon of honey is all you need for a huge mug of it.
It has to be actual mint leaves, not black tea with peppermint flavoring.

i am organizing a tea party for a few friends. what are the best pastries i can make for the ungrateful bastards who still think its storebought?

My favorite tea is Darjeeling personally- or Earl Gray with honey and lime
