What's the opposite of schadenfreude? Taking displeasure in the good fortune of others.

I don't know what people like little kuroboh are expecting when they run into people like this. Entertainment means you're selling yourself. And the people who are best at selling themselves are whores and narcissists.

Kirbopher also played Noah Kaiba (the main villain of a filler arc) on YGO Abridged. LK in return voiced one of the main characters in Kirbopher's shitty TOME flash series. They definitely worked with each other for a good while regardless of their involvement in DBZA.

Only thing I remember was a dual cameo appearance by the two of them on a Channel Awesome video on Dragonball Evolution.

A lot of his older videos’ descriptions have a disclaimer at the top expressing how sorry he is for the meanie jokes that he made before he was enlightened by his own intelligence.

i wonder if that's the modern zoomer mentality. something can never be played straight. everything has to be behind several layers of parody, sattire and irony. being annoyingly self-aware.

I'll say this much for him, at least he leaves them up. They probably have hit a critical mass by this point and they won't be fully expunged from the internet for some time, but when you consider the number of content creators that baleet fucking everything after woking up, it's a small miracle he at doesn't actively try to fuck over people that like his old content.

I think the problem is that 1) Martin is a crybaby bitch and 2) he's not willing to go full scorched earth on Crunchyroll despite saying he's not actively trying to a be a voice actor. It's also funny how he compartmentalizes how many people in the American anime industry support him but he still can't denounce it as a whole. He can't reach the very obvious conclusion that it's an industry full of backstabbers with no morals. There is no community, there's only money.

I think that’s already where we are, considering how the MCU popularized quipping, how “subverting expectations” became a meme, and how things like TV Tropes and pop culture analysis on YouTube
, and the popularity of Rick and Morty led to tons of people being cynical and savvy about the meta. And maybe some deconstructions along the way as well.

I blame South Park, it was the show I remember the most for doing the "if you are earnest that's gay" which defined the Gen X-ers who eventually became the creators of modern media.

Only you can't even say that being earnest is gay, just display mockery.

Gen X-ers deserve way more hatred.

But what did he even do? The only thing of note I know Kirbopher did is that he fucked up an NDA in some Fire Emblem game by revealing he got the role before he was supposed to or something. Not really cancel-worthy, even by nutjobs on Twitter.

My memory is very shoddy, but if I'm not mistaken an ex accused him of a bunch of vague sex shit that was bad. Stupid motherfucker apologized publicly even though all of his friends and associates had already abandoned him and were not going to come back.

He did actively change an old episode title. The episode now called “Bakuhazard” used to be “Single White Shemale”
