Feedback Technical Grievances

Oops! We ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console.

I keep getting this pop up while browsing. It goes away if I refresh the page but comes back pretty quickly. Am UK and normally no issues.
(It's doing it again while I'm trying to post this! Apologies if I end up posting it 10 times)

Cannot post, click on, or otherwise interact with any buttons on desktop clearnet; mobile via VPN works perfectly fine, as does Tor.
Unfortunately, this means that I cannot properly log into KF on the clearnet at home as I cannot make it past 2FA unless I use Tor.

My exact configuration on desktop:

BROWSERS: Firefox 102.6 ESR, Brave 1.46 (current)

Brave is entirely unmodified (only exception being uBlock Origin). My Firefox profile uses a lightly modified Arkenfox user.js with the following overrides applied:

Code:
#0801 - Search in URL bar
user_pref("keyword.enabled", true);

#2022 - DRM playback
user_pref("media.eme.enabled", false);

# 0102-0104 - Firefox homepage stuff
user_pref("browser.startup.page", 1); //search on homepage
user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "about:home");
user_pref("browser.newtabpage.enabled", true); //about:home on new tab

Relevant, content-modifying extension lineup (this is applicable to both Brave and Firefox):

a) uBlock Origin on Medium Mode with the following filter lists applied

Screenshot_20230107_110732.png

All of my modified Firefox user profiles (both the ones I have made via FF Profile and Arkenfox) have, prior to the recent DDOS attacks, worked flawlessly on Kiwi Farms. The same is true of Brave. On a fresh Firefox profile, the website works perfectly fine... for an hour, and then I run into the same problem where I cannot interact with other buttons.

Firefox browser console output is useless because reads identically to the Tor output in terms of JS errors and cross-origin policy stuff being marked red.

EDIT: Just tried to log in on Firefox. I can click on the "log in" button, but 2FA isn't going through despite inputting the correct OTP. Browser console output

Still getting the "Oops! We ran into some problems..." message when trying to post on clearnet.

Trying to access the site on clearnet isn't throwing me that 408 error anymore, but it's sending me to the default "this page could not be loaded" page. Trying to access .net on Tor gives me a PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. Back to using .onion for the time being.

cannot post replies using Chrome for Android or Windows. Brave's tor browser works using kiwifarms.net url

I tried to upload photos whilst using my VPN in UK. Tried multiple times kept getting an error. I switched VPN to Netherlands and tried again and it went straight through with no error.

Clearnet isn't throwing 408s anymore, however:

-It seems like almost every subforum has one specific resource being attacked which causes that request fail, which usually busts formatting for the subforum since the usual target seems to be a chat related stylesheet, but non-chat-having forums seem to get hit on a similar stylesheet request that just doesn't have "chat" in the request URL, for example this one goes down on the Yaniv subforum.
Code:
https://kiwifarms.net/css.php?css=public:hb_quotes.less,public:hb_rules.less,public:notices.less,public:prefix_menu.less,public:structured_list.less,public:xb.less,public:xfes_suggested_threads.less,public:extra.less&s=61&l=1&d=1672587500&k=f655736235c3608b0b32e0eedb758f6aa65a1aa2

Mentioning it because it's a problem, but I suspect this is a game of whack-a-mole being dealt with.

-The bigger issue is actually attempting to access a thread, apparently any of them, from clearnet. This has universally resulted in the kiwifarms provided "page could not be loaded" screen with only this lack of response showing up in inspector.

A ctrl+F5 results in a same response but unformatted until the KF provided page loads.

Accessing threads or posting from tor, either kfnet or onion URL, works fine but that's been more or less constant for weeks now.

I seem to be unable to post on the clearnet site through TOR. I can't tell how persistent this is because I don't post much, but yesterday when trying to make a post with a bunch of attachments, the attachments would upload to 100% without problems but never really finished uploading in a way that the 'insert' overlay would appear. After a couple more attempts I gave up and switched to the .onion which worked without problems.
Just a few minutes ago I tried to reply to a thread, retried again after a couple minutes, the three 'busy' lines in the top right appeared for a couple seconds, then disappeared and nothing, leaving me with the page exactly as before and my comment still in the reply box. Not wanting to multipost I didn't try any further.

A test comment on my profile however worked fine, as do stickers.

Latest Brave version on Win 10 Pro

Edit: Just successfully posted on clearnet/TOR with attachments.

I've noticed notifications haven't been working for the last day or so on Tor.

Just going to assume it's related to the same sort of fuckery that's causing disruptions on the clearnet.

Getting device specific 408s on my end, for whatever reason my phone and main PC time out on the clearnet URL but my shitass MBP from 2015 can post; tried a DNS clearout on the phone and it's not working and apparently I never even had sysd DNS pooling turned on on the PC until last night

Clearnet is running as fast at it ever has in Australia. The only issue I've noticed is the "this page is unavailable" error on selected threads, which Null raised in the most recent MATI. Seems like the troons don't like Null's most retarded idea yet.

Screenshot_20230107_065548.png

Would like to advise that "LoginManagerParent.jsm" and "LoginRecipes.jsm" are still being rendered null.
I can "log in" on clearnet, but 2FA won't properly work. Same situation as this morning - cannot log in unless I'm on the Tor node.

Even since this network engineers in dresses and five o'clock shadow, mad about something, I've just clicked between VPN locations if the pages don't load at a reasonable rate.

I can no longer post on the clearnet from North America via the AT&T Cellular network. Google Chrome browser won't load kiwifarms at all. Brave Browser does load Kiwifarms but will not allow me to post. Posting now on TOR via the AT&T Network with the Brave Browser, so I don't think its the North American ISP's this time but something else. Probably something Google related.

My Chrome browser when attempting to communicate with Kiwifarms returns a 408, Browser connection error.

Damn, AT&T is fucking with Kiwis too? Fuck man, and I thought T-Mobile was full of niggers.

I don't think its AT&T. I am using an AT&T Cell phone tower atm, via the Brave Browsers built in TOR module. AT&T will also allow Brave to connect to Kiwifarms via clearnet. Issues emerge when I try to post on the clearnet.

I don't know if it is AT&T related or something else. Microsoft Edge and Brave allow connection, but no posting. Google chrome however returns a 408 Error when you try and connect. I am no network engineer, but I bet someone at Google has thrown a monkey wrench somewhere in the way Internet Browsers peer with the website. If we can confirm this, I will happily start filing nasty grams with AT&T about how some asshole in California is fucking with their network. I'll even make an FCC complaint since I am entirely reliant on that cell phone tower for ALL my telecommunications. Its a communications monopoly per the Clayton Amendments to the Sherman Act. I HAVE to be able to access it for all my personal and business needs without it being fucked with because I have literally no other alternative.

I just have no idea what the issue is at the moment, so I can't complain about shit without coming off retarded.
