Feedback Technical Grievances

On Windows 10, https://torproject.org/en/ gave me the best results loading on desktop, icons load smoothly ever since Josh did the HTTPS thing. On iOS, getting WebAssembly errors on both Onion Browser, and TOR browser, even in bronze mode. For Orbot it won't let me proceed without installing it as a VPN on my phone. Is there a way of not having to install a VPN and getting past the WebAssembly error?

Site works OK for me now, tor/https.
The only mild inconveniences are the lower speed and the need to log in each time without Brave's autofill working.
Even videos load normally, which were often problematic on the clearnet.
All good, thanks Jersh.

Use a proper password manager.
Using Kaspersky's, but for KF I just have an isolated Brave browser without anything else but KF usage on it, will just try some open source manager to see if it works for Tor

Just a report, was having issues with anything on the upload... subdomain? uploads.kwf.onion ... loading. Chat images were fine for some reason, but user icons in posts, uploaded images in posts, etc. None would load. Couldn't post (presumably because the .js file was external for posting). Only thing in posts that showed up, besides text, was embeds to youtube. Ctrl-f5 / ctrl-r did nothing.

Fixed it though- closed tor window, opened a new one. Must have been some glowies on that exit node who didn't like the images. Everything works fine now.

Win10, Brave w/ Tor, https

The tor browser forces incognito mode by default, which prevents it from savign passwords, session keys, or even browser hstory. the desktop version lets you disable that setting but the mobile one doesn't. the google play store doesn't really have any alternatives

Reminder, you can use https://tg.i-c-a.su/rss/kiwifarms to view any updates to the Kiwifarms Telegram without being logged in. It might be little confusing, but you just really need to focus on things that are listed under <description>. See image for an example.

i wonder if it would be possible to make a site of some kind that uses this and turns it into a very basic more easy to understand format. granted this was pretty easy to find just using google as its one of the first results you see when you look into how to read telegram posts. but something even more basic without all the code parts would be pretty useful even if it was only viewable on tor.

I got it to work on Onion somehow by fiddling with the site settings even in bronze mode, but changes may have borked that.

Nope, I get the same thing, maybe @Null can update the onion kiwiflare thing to use the same script that the fancy kiwifarms.net kiwiflare uses (because whatever that one is, worked fine on Onion)

It's an RSS feed so it's supposed to be opened in a feed reader so it doesn't display all that stuff and only shows you the text plus the occasional attachment. There a tons of free (and open) feed readers out there, for every platform, plus online (or for more tech savvy people, self-hosted) ones.
For example, in my tt-rss an entry looks like this:

Thank you Josh, slayer of troons, bane of perverts, sneeder of feed. Thine hour come.

Thank fucking god we back. I had to socialize with the girldick suckers on the Fedi in the meantime and it was horrible.

I'm still optimistic. Every time this douchebag pulls a stunt like this, we are firmly given new allies.
I don't know if this would be applicable to KF's problems but I want to mention it for whatever it's worth: Z-Library has also faced numerous clearnet takedowns. To get around it they've started giving users their own unique access URLs from multiple clearnet domains that look like this (this is a fake example):
Code:
https://lib-bjkl54568dr56u8di9gjet.boooooooks.tld/login?remix_userkey=5546f648954678a643be64bef
Each user is given two private access points at two different hosts. Obviously this relies on users not snitching about the domains, and AFAIK they're only given to users whose accounts are a certain age or have a certain number of downloads. I thought it was an interesting solution to their problem. This would obviously require paying for more domains and probably hosting the Farms from extra servers or something (I don't know how all that shit works), but it could provide a way for more well-known Kiwis to access the Farms even if the main domain goes down.

works better for downloads.

unsure if this will help, but if you are on a phone and you're trying to access the kf onion link and it's giving you trouble, try accessing it's normal clean-net link first. that will redirect you to the tor version

This is new, I clicked the .net address and got this, was not the case in the past.
IS it a false positive of sorts that should be reported? Or do you need to refresh the certificate?

Weirdly, it's much faster for me on Tor than it had been over the clearnet for some time. Perhaps because of the various DDOS attacks, perhaps because it's got a relatively lighter load as casual browsers might not bother with Tor?
