I've encountered this issue on mobile.
The video player extends beyond the normal limits of the post, and makes it impossible to use the reactions.
This issue does not appear when using the Desktop Site functionality of the Brave browser. I've not yet tried the actual desktop browser.

Clock me up if this issue was already reported, I skimmed the past few pages of the thread but didn't see it.

Weird bug. I use Android and use a big smallest width (581) in dev settings. Browser is Firefox (Fennec from fdroid). Doesn't happen for me.

I think I've got a problem. For the last three-four days farms barely work for me, like if I was trying to connect through dial-up, loading infinetly, with occasional periods of clarity when everything kinda works, but images still take a lot of time to load. Right now, as I'm writing this, site loads well, but that might be temporary, for all I know.
Rest of the internet works fine.
I'm using brave.
 
Since the changes yesterday, when adding images to a post via insert multiple... -> select all -> insert thumbnail, all images are added twice. The first is automatically reduced in size, the second is not. Also, the new spoiler checkmark is selected for all images and it can't be unchecked.

(It appears the images are not resized, and not spoilered by default.)

This UI sucks, its all squished together and the captions option pops up when you hover over it, clogging up the screen.

this exact thing just started happening to me today, both on pc and mobile. it's fucking bizarre, because it's not an internet issue, not a dns issue, not a cache issue.

strange thing is that when using mobile, if I'm using 5G and not wireless, the site loads fine. I posited to my husband that it could be our isp throttling kiwifarms, but tracing the connection determined that's also not the case.

husband is IT guy, he did several IT guy things and he's at a loss to what the issue is.

edit: switched to firefox on PC, site partially loads as opposed to not loading at all on Brave, but there's clearly still an issue

I should add that claude suggested that the site's verification page could be causing the issue, but that also doesn't seem to be the case

for shits and giggles I'm uninstalling and reinstalling brave on my phone, will see if that does anything.

edit2: uninstalling and reinstalling brave did not work

Sorry I tried to add an example link there but it looks like it truncated automatically.

After navigating a bit more I think it is page, not thread, specific. For this thread, I can visit page 675 no issue. If I go to 676 I get the error. Similar deal with the Community Happenings thread - some pages load okay, some don’t.
 
First of all, thanks for all the work you guys do running this website. I really appreciate it.

I'm here to complain about the recent changes to spoilering images.

1. When you first upload images in a SPOILER tag, they're not marked as spoiled. This is fine. However, when you preview the post, the images don't show as spoiled. Additionally, previewing a post should probably update the spoiler checkbox on the image once you return to the editor.

2. You can't un-spoil images that are in a SPOILER tag. While this might be a good default, this causes a lot of problems in posts where spoilers are used to keep posts short. The Munchausen's by Internet thread relies on this pretty heavily.

3. Trying to un-spoil an image that's in a SPOILER tag appears to work at first. Then, after refreshing, it it resets back to a spoiled image.

4. You can't click on a spoiled image to view it in Gallery format. The first click reveals it, and the second click opens the full-sized image in another tab.
Excluding images that are spoiled from the gallery is probably intentional. (This way, users don't accidentally view NSFW material when they're clicking through a gallery.)
But because images in spoilers get auto-spoilered, you can no longer use the gallery function to view SFW posts that are in spoiler tags for readability.

5. Please add an option to mass-unspoil images.

6. Making a large compilation post with many images completely floods the "new media" page (which is a fun and good addition). The number of images from a single post that can be displayed on the "new media" page should be limited, maybe to 5 or 10.
