I mean they had a giant purple clusterfuck of a dragon and brought back Jinpachi through demonz 'n' shit so why the fuck not.

What is it with fighting game directors and making retarded decisions in the past decade? Only SCVI managed to do something smart by making 2B a guest character and making that awesome character editor and that game just didn't sell so we probably won't get another one till the end of the decade.

I think it's because there was some sperging and people found her offensive because she doesn't speak Filipino.

Ignoring the fact that Tekken characters pre-seven that didn't speak Japanese actually spoke Englsih regardless of where they came from.

It was only in Tekken Tag 2 that they began to speak their native tongues. Hell, Zafina from Egypt still speaks English.

Edit: slight correction to myself. Feng did speak Cantonese in Tekken 5.

On the other hand, Lili spoke English but she speaks French now.

That was just the initial concept for the character but was changed before his/her/they/xir's first appearance. There's a bunch of weird stuff about Leo like the swimsuits they can wear which can be either show tits or pecs.

I think the whole Leo thing is not much more than Harada thinking its funny to see people, specially in liberal the west, bend themselves into a pretzel trying to rationalize that somehow a very obvious female looking character is ackstualy a mawn. If that's his actual point with the character then I say 10/10 for trolling, even if the character herself is pretty mid, both in gameplay and in style. Its just your spiky hair anime protagonist that does Kung-fu or whatever, asides from the gender thing, theres really nothing more to her.
 
maybe i am too tired of fighting games but i wish i had TTT 3 already. also fuck those 2 characters.
 
i meant Steve and Dragunov, but yeah the new characters arent really fitting into the tekken universe/lore.
