I tried to watch the character endings, and I couldn't even get through half of them. A lot of them insult your intelligence even if you don't care about fighting game stories in general (God damn, Harada really did some non-Mishima characters dirty). Kazuya's ending was the only good one because it makes references to his old character profiles.

Oh! It's a woman! She got one of those voices I struggled to discern if it was male or female.

Huh, good to know!
She was crazy in her prime.

I finished playing the storyline.

Could it have been better?
- Absolutely.

Could it have been worse?
- Yes.

Was the writing retarded?
- Yes.

Did I gradually warm up to Reina?
- I did and the worst part is that I'm not even ashamed of that.

Did I have fun unironically?
- God help me, I did.

Was the final fight peak anime kino?
- With a capital Special K!

Did the writing fuck up my chromosome count?
- No. Watching anime for over two decades already did that.

I rate it Press X to believe in the Power of Nakama*/10.

*Translator's note: Nakama means friends.
I watched the Fight between Jin and Kazuya and yes it is peek anime, gives me JoJo Part 2 Joseph vs Kars final fight vibes.

Finished the Story, gave me a shit ton of laughter and cringing, story was dogshit but funny as hecc

i wonder how much cocaine Harada snorted to create angel jin and the flashbacks to lars as Heihachi from T7 ending

le ebil reina has the devil gene and called heihachi her father, not sure if that will threaten the dad of the century award. (and also she has dat devil ass tho).

dommy mommy jun was standing in front of kazuyas (probably not dead) body and i am looking forward how tekken 9 will carry on the cliffhanger. get it? CLIFF? LAUGH NOW! just kidding.

goddamn fighting game stories are dogshit but this story was really something haha.

I've only played the demo, but the first chapter of the story alone had me crying with laughter. It felt alright to play. The customization looks fun.

It's literally "press button to make awesome combos". Wtf happened to fighting games?
this shit happened since tekken 7, i only favor it offline because i dont play heihachi nor the other story characters. but yeah it's retarded in online mode.

Apparently Harada was the one who wanted to include macross in the game in the first place.
That's worse. Although, I'm not as much of a fighter buff to know if it's becoming a trend or not, but if it was I imagine the same people I mentioned pushed for it and Harada being the monkey he is saw it and had to do it.

Of course it could easily just be Harada being Harada.

Fighting games are in a dire-ish spot. Despite Tekken 7 bragging about selling 7 million plus copies, it's still chicken feet compared to what other non-cod/casual games sell on average. The only thing keeping them afloat is the FGC, Literally no one cares about fighting games anymore.

No one is really talking about the X-Box avatar mode, but it's basically VF's quest mode that teaches you how to play the game. What do you get for beating it? Extra missions, 10 million gold (despite you can make a nice amount of gold in the mode from what I saw in someone's stream), and shitty X-Box avatar customizations based on the game mode rival you're supposed to beat. You don't unlock any extra character customizations like you did in Tag 2 as you ranked up in the single player mode (because Harada and Bamco want you to buy more disc-locked content and season passes to dress up your favorite character). Pretty disappointing. I want to get Tekken 8, but again I can't out of principle.

MaximilianDood or whoever and others like him.
And Darksyde Phil despite his irrelevance in the FGC. Companies like Soyny cater to the journos and Dsps by making hand-holding gimmicks and gameplay. The sad thing is Max is considered an icon in the FGC, yet the guy is terrible at fighting games. He was making MvC3 guides before he failed to qualify at the first UMvC3 Evo in 2011. After his Evo fail, Max became a giant cocksucker and a sjw cuck like Geoff the Hero (More like Geoff the Sjwcuck), Wong, and the rest of the FGC.

Fighting games have always been niche despite the "boom" in 2009. Tekken is still irrelevant af in the West because no one out of SoCal and NY cares about it. It's only big in Asia. Tekken 7 was literally the most protected game because the fgc couldn't afford another Duty Fighter V and lose their esports (and weed supply). Steam and probably the Goyim of the Year edition helped the game sales because it wasn't a good game.

not only that, Tekken 8 is the first Tekken that didnt have an arcade release to basically recoup its costs. Harada must be sweating bullets right now hoping that Tekken 8 will be successful or else....

atleast the online-mode loading times are faster than T7. and it has a best of 3 rematch option. but yeah, not enough content for single player sadly.

They keep designing these games for tourneyfags, but not every single person is a streamer or tourneyfag who goes to SoCal or Ny to spam juggles and dashes. Hell, finding local events is already a task in itself, and you have to pray to God stores and organizers make enough money to justify fighting game events. Locals don't last long if you're not in a heavy fgc area like SoCal or NY, and even those areas are drying up with Esports rotting away.
