When your update makes the game MORE broken

And Eddy also came out broken too. Apparently Eddy has an advantage when his opponent breaks the floor. They also ruined rage arts where you can move around the attack. The last time Harada fucked up like this was when he ruined the black color option in the customization because people were using that as an exploit or something if I remember Tekken 7's initial release correctly. Good thing the Cash Shop and disc-locked content purchases worked as intended though.

Bro, the disc-locked content got leaked weeks ago. Harada went out of his way to hide the leaks:

Because of the leaks, these characters are most likely going to be sprinkled across season 2/3/4 now. The dev team probably got enough profits/budget now anyway, so they should move their lazy asses to fix the game first. The current patch is a total shitshow at the moment. See this post. And the stages aren't the only thing.

I was referring to that exact post, but mentioned other things like the broken rage arts. Like you said, this patch fucked up Tekken 8, and nobody is happy. Plugging and cheating are still things. Eddy being early access to "pros" (note: shills) and anyone who spent a lot of shekels on this turd was pretty dumb too. Harada fucked up big time, yet he doesn't give a fuck. I doubt Harada is going to spread those characters around because Eddy wouldn't have been first if this was the case. We will see them in this "first season."

So despite Elden Ring, Armored Core, and Tekken's success, Bamco lost a money thanks to terrible business decisions and a very greedy MMO Bamco was banking on. The p2w monetization in the MMO was so bad even Asians told Bamco to go fuck itself. This mmo (and other things the video doesn't cover) might be why Bamco is forcing so many live services and microtransactions in games like Tekken. Didn't Bamco also lose Elden Ring as a publisher?

Harada is not losing any sleep over this. He knows the fgc cucks will protect him and buy more disc-locked content and live service monetization with pluggers like Dale.

I'm still bros with my (ex) gachatard Discord folks, and the JP launch of Blue Protocol was so bad for so many months that they have lost all enthusiasm for the NA/EU launch.... which still has no date as yet.

Bad community engagement kills a gacha very fast because it frightens the whales, and the JP whales have had a very sad time with the first half-year of BP. If the NA launch ever comes, this game is going to die on its ass because the prospective market of gachatards just don't trust the community management.

As for Tekken 8, it's really shitty that it has become acceptable practice for a massive game developer to drop a 'marquee fighting game title' with somewhere between 25% and 30% of the content actually available and playable at launch. I know it's the "done thing" now, but it blows. It blows when Capcom does it too. Please give us at least two thirds of the game we actually paid for.

No Miguel, Fahkumram, Kunimitsu (the daughter), Anna, Armor King, Marduk, Baek, or Wang, either. I suppose there's still a chance at somepoint. Roger (possibly Jr. - what a pointless character. Why not have the actually joey fight, or have him and his mum fight as a team?) is supposed to be coming back, too.

I'll tell you who I'd like back, though: Dr. Bosconovitch. He was dogshit in Tekken 3, but he was a hilariously brilliantly deadly fighter in Tag 2. It was great fun when Mokujin mimicked him, an all. Speaking of your Bob gripe, I liked it when he copied him, too. He was able to copy the Ogres, too.

pls com 2 brazil HUEHUEHU
This fucker will drive people insane in ranked.

Same here, but the roles are reversed.
Eh.

If anything he’s kinda normalized. His backdash isn’t as good but his sidestep actually works now, his ws punishment is excellent as always, and and his lows are excellent. He‘s overtuned due to being dlc, but he’s a lot of fun. I’m considering picking him up if Zafina stays shitty.

I'm upset that this Snoop Dogg Tekken song is only in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Evidently, they'd have to pay royalties to Snoop Dogg to use the song in future releases.

It's more of a Round 1 arcade question rather than a Tekken question, but last time I was at one, I tried two different machines and I could only use half of the buttons. It could be shitty maintenance, but could it be Round 1 machines are gimped so that the controls are "simpler?" I suspect the latter because fighting games in arcades are super simplified now, which was definitely not the case in the 90s and running into two different machines with the same malfunction is rarer than one.

Oh, yeah, and, as much as I really like Devil Jin in 8, I feel he was somewhat of unnecessary, in terms of him being a separate character from Jin, now that "Human" Jin actively uses his Devil Gene abilities as part of his moveset. Additionally, I'm bored with Marshall Law - even more so, since they turned him into Bruce Lee-Maxi, with the nunchuck stuff. I'd prefer it if he was replaced with his son, Forest, like he was in 3, and Tag Tournament.

It's a cool song from Snoop Dogg for sure, but yeah it was just enough. But otherwise, the original soundtrack itself isn't too bad, and these three are my favorites

'somewhat of an unnecessary edition', I meant to type. Christing Gungnir, I'm such a goon when I speed-type.

Bob was why Tekken 6 was a disaster (and rage arts being retarded). He was the most broken piece of shit in the Vanilla version, and only a few characters like the Mishimas could roll with Bob (the console version is based on the arcade upgrade that gave us Mike Murray's self-insert and Alisa). He was still bullshit in Tag 2.

Wang and Baek might be dead after 6. Fak might come back as disc-locked content. It's still baffling how Harada did Anna dirty knowing she's a part of Nina's story.

I doubt Baek's dead. Jinrei might be, as he'd be 106 by this point (Jinpachi is around the same age, or very similar - on Tekkenpedia, it used to say that he was 108 in 5, and Dark Resurrection - W. Jinrei being 105). I want Fahkumram back, but they'd have to move on from the wife and daughter being threatened backstory somewhat, to prevent him from becoming stale.

Bob doesn't really have a good reason to return, I suppose, but Miguel does. I seem to remember his 7 ending, where he promises to return to finish Jin off, when he's found a reason to not want to die, and, or, feels like he hates himself significantly less, or... something. I suppose I just want Bob back because he's got a fun fighting style. Slim Bob can fuck off, though. I totally agree about Anna, though. And Rage Arts, an all. Always disliked 'em. Don't use 'em, 'cos I don't want a Street Fighter-come-Dragon Ball experience when I'm in my middle of a match.

Tl;dw - Players noticed how weird the matchmaking system was, and it turned out Harada and Bamco did some fuckery without letting anyone know about it. This explains why it's taking a while to find opponents or people are getting higher ranked players as opponents. Knee tried to criticize Tekken 8, but because he probably pissed off his sponsors and Harada he went back to sucking off Harada's dick (God forbid you expose Harada, who is the Ono of 3d fighters). Arslan also went back to sucking off Harada for that weed and esports money. Cheating is still rampant in Tekken 8. The negative reviews on Steam are popping up (36-38% negative, 74% positive as of the post).

This game destroyed its reputation faster than Blackrock Fighter 6 and Woke Kombat 1.
