Maximiliandood and Main Man are already shilling the dlc, but there has been some backlash about the stage. The damage control from Harada is funny because he's throwing people under the bus, so he can still get a new lambo. This is a big no-no according to Frame Whisperer. Oh yea, apparently Harada didn't lean his lesson from Tekken 7 because Heihachi is very OP like Leeroy in Tekken 7. He does crazy damage without walls or even heat.

About the "Red Bull Golden Letters 2024" event that took place last weekend:
His stream for the event was insanely cringe, MainMan barely gave a fuck about it after a while and talked with chat during the final matches leading up to the finale and the official stream's casters also kinda sucked. To be fair, even if Ulsan won (the 5th tourney he has won in a row), he did it with fucking Dragunov. Boring as fuck.
The only thing that was actually funny was Arslan Ass getting his ass handed to him and turning into a tomato in the process. Also CBM seething after he got fucked by Ulsan.
 
The game is 43% off on steam. Should I take the plunge?

On one hand I want to play a fighting game with a larger player base that's not Street Fighter. I will never give Capcom another penny in my life.

On the other, I loathe Namsoy's businesses practices and Harada's manlet power trips.

If you decide to get and play this game, you're forced to learn a lot before you can play it on a remotely competent level. The story is completely retarded, but the gameplay is pretty fine, if you can stomach a lot of bullshit that is. Since you're coming from SF, you basically know most of the drill already. It's still a 3D fighter, focus on the main mechanics first, then you can move on to combos/juggling. If you can consistently sidestep and punish the opponents' moves, you already are better than most of the Tekken players. But it will take time. A lot of time.
If you're willing to put in that time investment, this game is really fun. If not, don't bother.

Achsually, I'm more of a KOF guy and been playing Tekken since 3, when I was a wee lad. Never played it online until Tekken 7 though. Even then, I just played it until I got to juggernaut with Kazumi.
 
how should I feel if I lose to my own ghost? Am I proud that I trained it well, or retarded for not being able to read my own shitty gimmicks?

side note ghosts are awesome. this game is intolerable online, probably won't mess with it again until we get lei back or unlimited sets like in t7.
 
CH b4, hold b2, f3d, df, 4,4,1, f3d, 2, ff, ss2f, 1

so heihachi gets 97 damage on a ch without his install, heat, rage, or stage gimmicks and very simple execution. have to goldspark the b2 or else it's 94 dmg. heat can take it up to 107-110. dlc buff has the old man hitting over 100 dmg without a single electric.

tested some more, the most I've been able to get now is 112 dmg by replacing the ss2f,1 ender with uf3,4 > microdash > heat burst > qcf2 > heat dash > qcf2. this is 109 if you don't goldspark. Theoretically otgf for the final hit would be max damage (probably 115) but it seems to always whiff if I do the perfect input. Interestingly, the normal input hits for the same damage as qcf2. im probably just dogshit. had the opponent set to Xiao so it's possible it's one of those things that whiffs on smaller female hitboxes but idk. I usually lab vs xiao because if something works on her it's gonna work on everyone.

on the one hand, these retards should just use creamapi and stop whining
on the other hand, it's probably better that creamapi remains out of the mainstream so bamco doesn't crack down on it
either way, it's just a reskinned arena stage. you don't miss much by not having it. idk why people care so much. maybe if they were charging for a fan favorite like infinite azure or something I'd get it but this stage is literally already in the base game.

Because Bamco and Harada took greed to a whole new level of retard, and once Tekken 8 got mixed reviews on Steam, Harada deleted his apology (He was never sorry). The "review bombing" shills, lefties, and fanboys love to use is people frustrated with the state of the game (I don't even own the game, and feel disappointed how Harada ruined this series). Bamco and Harada intentionally hid the Cash Shop from reviewers and fans, so Tekken 8 could get great reviews. On top of $8+ disc-locked characters, a Tekken Shop with costumes that should have been in the game, 2 different passes that don't give you shit (Season and Battle), you have to buy a fucking stage by itself for $5. We're not even a year in, and the monetization and dlc already cost half of what you paid for the game if not more than the game itself. Pirating only works for so long when they'll still push the envelop further because the FGC is still full of cucks (at least some of them are waking up).

Some people in the FGC are finally waking up, and no shilling from Maximiliandood, Jae, or Mainman will save Bamco's reputation. I don't think even vtubers like Dokibird can save this game's reputation.
