Tell Me Why - Life is Strange 3: You're a tranny now.

I'm kinda late to the party, but I must say I'm impressed they even made this game. When well...some of the hilarity that was in Life is Mexicans, the most hilarious part are the 2 endings which dynamites the whole game's message "Nut all Mexicans are criminals!" and yet the 2 "bad" endings have one of the brothers or both becoming career criminals in Mexico.

yeah, it's like the only plot the could do about Mexicans involves racism and Trump. Just they could do a game with a trans that's not about identity politics and "TRANSPHOBIA BAD." Makes you wonder how woke dontnod actually is, seems like they're lowkey racist... I dunno why reeeetards have such a boner for their games, there're far better adventure games out there.
The first LiS honestly never felt all that woke to me. Maybe "hipster" but I didn't see any politics there. Neither it was ever marketed as a "feminist" game because it has a female protagonist. Even the lesbians subtext felt more like fanservice than "muh representation".

The only romantic option in this game is the stereotypical ~qweer~ POC dude with a ponytail that acts like he's from 2012 tumblr.
And it's not just ugly and cringe-y but they literally had like two conversations in this game...

Also this shit officially has a lower score than tlou2, wow

Why does he look like a combination of Carlos maza, austineruption, and Josh Gad? Ew

The first LiS wouldn't have been as bad imo if Chloe wasn't the worst thing I'd seen in a video game in a long time. The time-reversal gimmick was interesting, the plot was.... And it was about teenagers - like, actual American teenagers and not an anime - so it was bound to be a little cringe-worthy here and there but then Chloe busts into the frame with her "hella" and "I hate men and my dad and love smoking pot and controlling guns-- shit I just shot myself" and "Me me me Everyone else sucks" bullshit. Warren gets a couple points for proto-simping for Max.

So yeah, I wouldn't call it "woke" insomuch as "very Tumblr". Max is a chick, sure, but she's still boring and she'd be just as boring if she were the exact same character but in dude form.

I do like that this is just another fine example of why you shouldn't apologise or pander to these people. I'm really hoping that Twin Mirror follows Remember Me or Vampyr in terms of "not being progressive, pander-y or woke".

having a cop adopted father = "glorifying police"
Also she missed the fact the game takes place in 2015.

Oh, you didn't hear?

Anything that depicts a police officer as anything short of a violent, racist, homophobic, trigger-happy psychopath is propaganda now. Depicting a police officers with varying personalities and flaws and attitudes is invalid- they are all mindless, goose-stepping Nazis ready to shoot at the first provocation.

Also, the metacritic score (audience score, anyway) has risen to 6.0. There are 10/10 reviews saying things like "ignore the negative reviews, they're review bombing" but I'd bet you my next paycheck that the negative reviewers aren't the ones doing the bombing.

Especially since this one basically admits it:

I hated her at first, but I think making her such a cunt made the last 2 episodes work better. Made her much more fleshed out than the two-dimensional parodies that made up the entirety of 2.

I recall when it came time in the first game to decide wondering why anyone would consider it a dillema. It said a lot in a setting full of wankers she stood out as particulary unlikable.

The cop character is also a native American, so take a wild guess why he couldn't be portrayed negatively. Even in the situation when he has every right to be angry he reacts like a retarded goldfish. The rest of the police were also racially diverse but they were surprisingly written as actual people (if I'm not mistaken, one was a young black lady who was a troublemaker at school but became a cop because she believes in justice or something).

Funny how they called it review bombing, when the game has less than 100 reviews. It's almost like only us, the bigot sandwiches, actually cared about this shit. Also the game's twitter went from 2k to 10k followers in just a week, so shilling was definitely involved.

Also I just find it suspicious the game was suddenly banned in Russia, China and such AFTER the initial release for the supposed transphobia when games like The Missing, Catherine, and TLOU2 are available just fine. 🤔

They made another game?
I thought that thing was just a scrapped concept
Did some digging. Apparently the project dates even before Life is Strange (this is from Retardcetera but the links are legit).

Because they dropped the episodic format, pacing is all over the place and the cut content is noticeable. According to the negative reviews, the game is too short and doesn't deserve 30$, not to mention the downgraded graphics.
So what the hell happened? My personal hottake is they sidelined the game and cut its budget in favor of more "diverse" projects because the protagonist is a "straight white man". At least that might explain the lack of advertising and Epic store exclusivity.

But Dontnod isn't going away any time soon. Apparently they have more games Life is Strange sequels planned. So buckle up.
