Agreed, the future war sequences from the first 2 films are amazing and it’s never been properly realized as an actual movie. Salvation and the parts from Genisys aren’t even close. I just want a full length movie of this:

It's a given that when the sycophantic nagging scolds in the "press" and people involved with a film take the "you better appreciate how fire and #girlboss this movie is, or else you're a drooling racist misogynist idiot!" approach to attempting to sell the movie, you just know someone higher up realizes they have a potential "eh" of a film on their hands.

In all seriousness, the test audience probably fucking HATED it. They fucked up because they preemptively used this.

Nobody hate watches anything for money. They pirate and stream it, which is what is going to happen.

It just remains to be seen how much money this will lose.

And I mean, for like 95% of people who enjoy the franchise, it basically stopped after 2.

This is real rich considering people adore Sarah Connor's badass upgrade in Terminator 2, transforming from a scared and helpless young woman to a shotgun toting fighter.

Terminator 1 and 2 are known for their strong female protagonist, so having the director of this new one play the "misogyny" card demonstrates it has no real quality to it.

Exactly. CM benefited from being branded by both Disney and Marvel, as well as being used to dovetail off of Infinity War and lead into Endgame, the two biggest movies in the last two years.

What young person gives a shit about Terminator? And even people my age that this movie is supposedly made for have grown tired of the franchise and did so long ago.

Yeah, its really weird that they want to pull out the MUH SOGGY KNESS!!!! when the Terminator fanbase universally loves and adores Linda Hamilton from T1 and T2. In fact, Hamilton is one of the Trinity of leading ladies that disprove the canard about guys not liking strong female characters. Linda is joined by Weaver (Alien) and Fisher (Star Wars, OT). All three great characters and much beloved.

Trying to hide behind the gender of a character or playing these kind of reactionary politics really shows how lackluster this film must be.
