More like Spacecop vs TerminatorMay as well do a RoboCop vs Terminator movie. So long as it's R-rated it can't get any worse.

Worse still when you realize James Cameron has gone on record multiple times criticizing David Fincher for his decision to kill off Newt and Hicks. As late as 2016 he's said how it was really dumb. Before that he'd made the point that he doesn't like it when people make decisions to kill off characters that the audience is invested in.
Now what does he do? Exactly the same fucking thing, because he stands to make a lot of money off the deal he made with Skydance. And since he was involved in drafting the story of these new Terminator films, then for all we know, it was either his idea to kill John Connor or he signed off on it without a second thought.
Dear God! What did I just watch? Not only were the leaks true, they fucking killed off John Connor! I can't believe it but it is what it is. Even if they wanted to change the story and create new characters; killing John Connor was just wrong to do.
Everything about the scene is really funny. The fact that there's no blood, that she tried to stop a Terminator with a squirt gun, the fact that she didn't recognize the 8-foot tall man slowly advancing towards her kid til the last minute. Comedy gold.Dear God! What did I just watch? Not only were the leaks true, they fucking killed off John Connor! I can't believe it but it is what it is. Even if they wanted to change the story and create new characters; killing John Connor was just wrong to do.

Hey guize, we're going to throw away all those bad sequels, get rid of the excessive time travel/alternate universe shenanigans, and just make a sequel T1 and T2! You know, the good Terminator movies! Aren't you excited?
>5 minutes in
>Kill John Connor, completely invalidating T1 and T2
Holy shit, these clowns just fucked up a wet dream.
I don't watch movies as much as I used to and if there's something interesting I would prefer to wait until it's available on home media or digital download. Also, my interests are more narrow because I just don't care about popular culture aka. consumer culture so I really only focus on franchises I like the Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, Alien and Predator. Which is why I'm amazed because I read how there are leaks for popular movies months before their release then I'm amazed how when the movies are finally released, their plot perfectly lines up what the leakers have reported.Fuck, I didn't even realize this was out in Europe! Holy fucking shit the marketing was terrible! I knew approximately when all the other big movies are coming out but this thing I honest-to-god thought was coming out in 2020.
Edit: this dude deserves a semper-fi:

I haven't watched the cam copy but I'm willing to bet that this flick has nothing on Alien 3.
2nd edit: watching a cam and this flick heavily panders if it weren't obvious already. Why does the beginning take place in Mexico? Because gotta' get those latin asses in seats. That's why.
3rd edit: I already find myself skipping ahead. I don't care about any of these characters. I don't care about Hispanic Sarah Connor. I don't care about this androgynous cyborg chick, I don't care about the real Sarah Connor, I don't care about anything that's happening. The only thing that's making me watch this till the end is morbid curiosity. And fuck the obnoxious social commentary. Fuck the scene where the illegals are detained. Fuck you James Cameron!
Please let this fucking bomb. Just end the fucking franchise.

Every movie that comes out the original happy ending to T2 looks better and better. And that might as well be the 'real' ending to me since they've made it trivially easy to disregard every movie after T2.What an absolute kick in the teeth. I'm genuinely angry about how those first 5mins just curb-stomp two of my favorite action movies ever.
I don't care how limited a role Cameron may have had in the production, at some point he had to have read the script before the production started and chose not to roll it up and use it to beat the writer to death with. So fuck you James Cameron.

I agree. The original ending was nice because it was ambiguous as what will happen to both Sarah and John Connor after the defeat of the T-1000. Leaving the future open for a sequel. But now we know the sequels are terrible I like the one where John Connor is fully grown, married with a family. This ending is supported by James Cameron original view that Skynet suffered guilt for Judgement Day and conspired to allow John Connor not only win in the future war against the machines, but in the past, too, where Skynet doesn't exists.Every movie that comes out the original happy ending to T2 looks better and better. Seeing Furlong's John again was pretty neat...for the 5 seconds we see him before he gets gunned down. The worse part is that they dont even try to make it significant, would it kill them to have John and Sarah share a small conversation over what happened the last few years and where they will go now that, until then, Judgement Day had been truly avoided? I dont know, have them actually act like a young boy and his mother enjoying their time at the beach.
This? This is just like Alien 3, they dont even make that much of a big deal about, instead they act like its a checklist to get over it as soon as possible.
"John Connor is dead * yaw.n* Sarah cries over his dead body, cue title card. Where is my pizza?"
SW: ROS and Dark fate deserve to crash and burn
I hit Agree until I read what you said about Alien 3. To each his own about that film, I acknowledge it's divisive. But you can't say "They didn't make a big deal about it." I completely and totally 100% disagree. We see Ripley clearly mourn the loss of both characters. First when she visits the crashed EEV and sees where the crytubes were and how Hicks died. She especially mourns Newt during that scene, the autopsy, and there's a fucking FUNERAL for the characters.
Were you playing on your phone during this scene? I'm sorry but, how could you not notice this? You could say "She wasn't mourning for them the entire time!" That's because a fucking Alien was running around, an immediate threat that needed to be dealt with not to mention the fucking company.
By contrast; we see Sarah Connor just pissed off and resentful rather than mourn. ALSO! Key point right here: this was RIPLEY'S story and not Hicks/Newts unlike the Terminator series where it was definitely Sarah and John's story.
First off, calm your tits about Alien 3. I think Alien 3 is an okay film (I actually do prefer it over Alien Ressurection), what I meant about what I said is that we didnt get any proper scenes with them before it happened, they focus too much on the deaths themselves. I honestly think it adds to the claustrophobic nihilistic nature of Alien 3 (which a lot people werent a fan of, understandably). Their deaths didnt contribute anything to the plot, if anything I would have prefered them living or only one of them dying but whatever, this is about Terminator.
