RIP Terry. This was truly just a case of mental illness tearing a person apart. Terry was an interesting guy and his descent into schizophrenia was wild to watch. It's kind of a shame that now that he's dead so many ~tech nerds~ flock to download templeOS or losethOS and act like they really followed the saga and didn't shun the hell out of the poor man when he was halfway sane and trying to be part of online programming communities.

Personally, I haven't touched TempleOS- the headache of booting it and the barrage of paint-palette neons and white would most certainly incinerate my eyes at first glance, but I always enjoyed the concept of the music generator and have wanted to play with it. I also look to Terry when I ask the question: does religion drive people mad? or is organized religion just especially tantalizing to those who are going mad? I don't get it.

But on topic specifically to Terry: I always feel so sad thinking about how his family ended up distancing themselves and playing off his illness as him being "quirky" and his homelessness across the country as him being a "traveler." I know they're from the (much) older generation, but it always makes me wonder what might have happened if he had actual support from family. Truly a bummer. Rest in peace, friend.
