If it's private then only someone else of the same audience list can see it. You can restrict it even more than just friends only.

The screengrabs which give an explanation mention his mother being killed, too. To the extent it's been explained, it's as a car accident.

I do have a facebook and when I logged in, and went to his page, and then went through his "friends" to get to the "Therese Davis" page, the post wasnt there, so I dont even know what to believe. I mean I guess it could be privated, yeah. Why make an obituary post and then private it, though, I mean I guess they wouldnt want randos bothering them. I just dont know.

He's one of the few people who's entire thread I've read on here. He was more of an interesting eccentric rather than pure "lol cow" to me. As somebody with a schizophrenic in the family, I know it's a terribly frustrating thing when people refuse to take their medication and everybody around them just has to cope as well as can be. I hope his family doesn't have too hard of a time coming to terms with the fact that his homelessness and passing wasn't their fault and I can only imagine how terrible they feel right now.

RIP holy coder bro, you definitely made the internet a more interesting place.

Terry seemed like a chill dude when he was lucid. He could take a joke and laughed at photo/video edits people made of him. It’s depressing as fuck how his mental health issues destroyed what was shaping up to be a promising career.

I have a lot of respect for people who create things not for fame or profit but because they simply feel compelled to create, even if their reasons are nuts. I know shit about fuck when it comes to programming but Terry’s drive in the face of crushing adversity from his own mind was inspiring. God speed, you crazy bastard. The nigger cattle will low mournfully tonight.

The obituary obviously wasn't him due to the other Terry A. Davis being a quarter century older but it could be that two different people named "Terry A. Davis" coincidentally died within a day or so of each other.

The obituary is tied to a different Terry Davis that coincidentally died within a similar time than our Terry A Davis. From what I remember, our Terry was "Terry Andrew Davis", not "Terry Allen Davis". And as for the Facebook comments, it's unsure whether that information is actually true as it seems to be restricted friends and family.
