People aren't but unless someone dies in a manner which makes the news - like Chloe Sagal - there's very often no independent way to confirm it in the days immediately following the death.

SomethingAwful has a thread on this now. Terry was a banned SA poster.

Terry died schizophrenic (likely off his meds) suffering from delusions while he was homeless in his last days. This makes me more upset then anything. I don't mean to get gay and preachy but the way people with serious mental illness like schizophrenia are treated (or rather not treated or helped) is sickening. Basically you are left to rot on the sidewalk

I have no idea if it is a hoax or or is legit (thanks to Terry's situation) but there was this whole shitstorm a few weeks or so ago about how someone who got kicked out of the inner circle of people managing Terry's sites and infrastructure (sort of like what Null and a few others are doing with Chris Chan now post Idea Guy) was spreading rumors that Terry was having control of his online accounts taken away, his donations taken away, and some shit like that. They started some 8chan threads on /pol/ and /cow/ to start shit and this led to Sheikhs (a TempleOS fan who was probably the closest to Terry in his inner circle) laying low.

I'm hearing about people from 8chan and some Discord groups trying to contact his sister to confirm.

It'd be great if he wasn't dead. At least people actually LIKE Terry, where as if another cow died, everyone would be fucking gleeful.

Someone on /tech/ posted that people on the Discord are contacting his parents.

Lots of posts appearing on his last youtube now. Every place this is being discussed, people want it to be untrue.
