I'm not Chuck McGill levels of electronic avoidance, but do I really want to sit in a car with the CANbusses wirelessly pinging each other 1000 times a second? How will my testicles fare in this environment?
Probably <50mW output power since the operating distances are small, less than a bluetooth speaker or headset is expected to cover. And farther away from you than a bluetooth mouse or a laptop. Negligible SAR. Still a stupid idea.

Tesla is now being investigated for faulty seat belts. And to think that people give Hyundai/Kia, the German, and US auto makers shit for things like this, and yet give the Japanese auto makers and Tesla a pass.
Probably because... I dunno. It's odd because Toyota and possibly Honda have stated that they're not going to enter the Battery EV until the technology is proven and I think they're both going more towards the direction of hydrogen EVs, which is way better in terms of fueling up, but the power and range might not be as good as an ICE either way.

I love how one of the big pushes for Tesla was how cheap they would be to repair. Now Tesla literally fights tooth and nail to prevent anyone from reapiring their own vehicles. Unless some kind of law is passed, I'm holding out on the EV push for a little longer.
It's interesting the fact that people think that big government and big companies are oftentimes in bed (sometimes yes, but most of the times no).
If government regulations were completely removed from the table, anyone could just take whatever Tesla has and improve upon it as best as they could, so really adding more laws on top of more laws are just gonna make things much much more difficult for average people to attempt to crack into the shit that's inevitably gonna be required by law to be implemented. It occurs within every single market in the West today (Keynesian economics, basically socialism lite).

Tesla is already recalling their semis, due to parking brake failures. Still no word about why those semis are breaking down though.

And Commiefornia thinks that 50% of their heavy duty trucks will be EVs by 2035, with this mandate. Can't wait to see the inevitable pushback of this date.

And Chinese EVs are also very prone to catching fire:

And I though people give GM a ton of shit for Chevrolet Bolt EV fires, with some parking lots even banning those cars from using them, when all of these fires are happening in China with their EVs. And I don't know if those Chinese EVs were even recalled for those battery fires.

Hey I work in the fuel industry, and for the most part no one is worried about EVs. Maybe in 25 years of the tech becomes more viable, but there’s simply not enough lithium to replace all the cars on the road. And even then, what about the semi trucks out there? Diesel is a huge chunk of our sakes.

Even then, we make our money off of credit card fees. So if we put an EV charging station in every gas station, we’re still making money one way or the other. Probably more so since it takes hours to charge and people need to buy something to drink while they’re waiting.

I feel like i should mention Edison Motors, a company started by semi truck mechanics who have been converting old Kenworths and so on into Diesel electrics (electric drivetrain with a small battery pack and a diesel generator for sustained power). They're currently in the process of making their very first semi truck under the Edison motors name, using as much preexisting part sourcing as possible, with the intention that companies that buy their trucks can fully repair them in-house. They aren't relying on massive investor funding like more recognized electric car companies, and seems to have a business model that lets them slowly build from a small scale of less then ten customers.

The prototype version of the VW ID.7 has been revealed, and the interior already looks like it's going to not age well.

First off, we have an info display that seems to be designed for ants, given how tiny it is:

Secondly, VW decided to address customer complaints about the unintuitive infotainment system, by adding areas for "buttons" on the bottom part of the screen for the climate controls, instead of doing what people want by just adding physical buttons:

Another new trend that seems to be coming to cars, is smart air vents, that swivel side-to-side automatically, instead of the good old fashioned vents where you can manually adjust them.

And in Tesla news, Tesla workers shared sensitive images recorded by customer cars, without their knowledge. (Archived)

They still don't seem to have learned HVAC controls need to be physical buttons not connected to the infotainment system. Tesla owners are the sort to like that sort of spying being done on them.

I love the environmental trend being combined with tons of pointless technology for convenience that certainly wastes twice as much energy than any car two decades ago.

For their sake I hope it doesn't include any internal cameras.

Quite a lot of them do. I'm not sure the exact models, but the ones with "Full Self Driving (FSD)" (LOL) absolutely have cameras recording the driver, and probably other models as well.
