US Thanks To Leftist Corruption, U.S. Military Recruiting Is In Total Freefall - Article author, a retired lieutenant colonel, says that if he were 20 today there would be 0 chance of him enlisting to serve under a group of people who he thought would hate him and his political views.

Amid the first conventional war in Europe since 1945 and China’s massive military buildup — including nuclear weapons — the U.S. military is experiencing a dangerous drop in its warfighting capability. The U.S. Army, the largest service, has only reached 40 percent of its recruiting goal with just more than three months remaining in the fiscal year.

This military decay will continue under President Joe Biden’s disastrous anti-leadership and likely will take many years of concerted effort to reverse. Further, combined with the chaotic defeat in Afghanistan, America’s ability to deter its enemies from taking hostile action is at a low not seen since the late 1970s, making a major war far more likely.

There are three growing signs of trouble: an alarming collapse in recruiting, a profoundly unserious national security leadership, and weakness in the military supply chain and procurement.

Recruiting Collapse

The military is facing its most severe staffing crisis since the advent of the all-volunteer force in 1973. In March, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced it would reduce its active-duty end strength by 0.2 percent to a little more than 2.1 million. Pentagon comptroller Michael McCord assured us that it’s “not about making the force bigger. We’re looking at making the force more capable.” But only three months later, word broke that every branch in the military is having trouble meeting its recruiting goals.

As a result of its massive recruiting shortfalls, the U.S. Army has lowered its standards, dropping requirements for recruits to have a high school diploma or GED to enlist, while relaxing tattoo restrictions to allow tattoos on hands and neck without a waiver. These two decisions will result in a less capable force with troublesome discipline issues. The Army is even offering enlistment contracts as short as two years — barely enough time to learn the basics of modern warfare.

The DoD is even reviewing more than 250 disqualifications for service, such as asthma and ADHD. With only 23 percent of Americans ages 17-24 qualified to serve in uniform without a waiver and just 9 percent of those eligible to serve even interested — the lowest since the Iraq War troop surge in 2007 — something has to give, with some experts suggesting that a draft might be needed again. Fears over not being able to meet uniformed staffing levels might have informed the seven Republican members of the Senate Armed Services Committee who voted to require women to register for a military draft in June.

Biden’s defense officials may hope money solves the problem, but they’d be better advised to look in the mirror instead. When you openly accuse the military of being rightwing and harboring white supremacists, insist on schooling them in transgender pronoun usage, and then force them to get vaccinated for a Covid-19 virus that’s less threatening than the flu for the young and healthy military demographic, you shouldn’t be shocked that they don’t want to enlist under a leadership they neither trust nor admire.

To doublecheck that the economy wasn’t the overriding reason why recruiting is failing, I spoke with a friend who leads a large police academy in Texas. He said the classes are full of new recruits (although in Chicago, Oregon, and Washington State, areas where police are under attack, things are different). He even noted an influx of police coming into Texas from other states to escape Covid-19 vaccination requirements for public safety employees.

Profoundly Unserious Leadership

There are multiple warning flags that our civilian and senior military leadership are majoring in the minors while ignoring warfighting at our collective peril. Whether it’s the aforementioned policies or claiming climate change is an existential threat, our national security apparatus appears intent on losing its first engagement with a revanchist People’s Republic of China.

Even today’s extended 1 million barrels per day peacetime drawdown of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is aimed at the threat to Biden’s approval rating rather than the potential loss of our ability to import oil during a crisis. As of June 24, the reserve stood at 497.9 million barrels, the lowest since 1985, eight years after the program’s start. That’s a 59-day supply of imports.

The over-hyped fear of a military overrun with right-wing extremists is especially maddening as Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin initiated a military-wide standdown and struggle session on the premise of false reports from CNN and NPR. These outlets claimed that the ranks of those arrested in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot were doubly overrepresented by veterans. The claim, based on three math errors, was off by about 100 percent — meaning that the share of veterans among those arrested was exactly what one would expect from any random group of American adults who were almost 90 percent men.

At the time, retired Adm. John Kirby, then Austin’s spokesman, now communications chief for the National Security Council in the White House, darkly warned, “There may be cultural issues we have to deal with here.” Cultural issues? Tennessee Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen said the quiet part out loud when he worried that the National Guard soldiers sent to secure the Capitol in a symbolic show of force in 2021 were “predominantly more conservative” than Americans.

Military Procurement Weaknesses

The U.S. military supply chain has become increasingly reliant on the import of key items, such as computer chips. America makes 10 percent of the world’s computer chips with 75 percent of global production in East Asia and some 90 percent of the most advanced chips made in Taiwan.

Every Javelin missile launched in Ukraine at invading Russian forces uses a Javelin missile Command Launch Unit (CLU), and every CLU has more than 250 computer chips in it. As of mid-April, Ukraine received some 5,500 Javelin systems — CLU and missile — with reports that the United States has supplied 7,000 missiles so far, about one-third of its stockpile.

Javelin orders take 32 months to deliver, and in recent years, the United States has been buying only 1,000 Javelins per year with a maximum production rate of 6,480 per year. But the semiconductor-using industry typically has less than five days of chips on hand and it will likely take a year or more to reach the maximum production rate — assuming the chips will be available.

Unlike Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a land war in which American supplies of anti-tank missiles, anti-aircraft missile, and artillery, have been sent in large numbers, a Chinese invasion of Taiwan would mostly involve the Navy and Air Force. Unfortunately, naval ship building and drydock repair is a glaring weak spot in our national security. America now builds fewer than 10 vessels for oceangoing trade every year — China builds more than 1,000.

In military shipbuilding, America strains to build more than four combat vessels per year. The U.S. Navy used to operate 13 shipyards — it has five now, with 14 new construction shipyards (commercial and government) lost since 1970. The U.S. Navy had 298 battle force ships in April (including the U.S.S. Constitution, built in 1797) and about another 190 support and reserve ships. Meanwhile, China has 350 warships and that number is climbing quickly.

My own decision to enlist the military in 1983 was motivated by President Ronald Reagan and his call to defeat the Soviet Union in the Cold War. In 2007, I retired as a lieutenant colonel. If I were 20 today, there’d be zero chance I’d enlist to serve under a group of people whom I thought hated me and despised my political views — and who would use my time in military service as a cross between a reeducation camp and an armed international social service agency.

Even if I weren't 4F for mental reasons (and more than likely DQ'd anyway for registration at this website) my demands would be that I be a DI and my qualifications would be thousands of hours playing America's Army.

Say hello to Ssgt. Feednseed

Do people get disqualified for drug offenses?
They used to, and should continue to do so until they really start worrying about having enough bodies. Even with the state level legalization of marijuana; it's still federally banned, and the military is federal, so it's still banned in the military and on bases, even if you're a civilian or contractor with a medical card.

The military seems forget that discharged people are still people that exist in the world; amongst their potential recruits. These people interact with their potential targets, and basically become anti-recruitment spokesmans on why to never join because of all the political and faggotry infested in the military these days. Word-of-mouth spreads.

The military has in-directly signaled, and supported hating straight, white males. So, the military is now for the blacks. The military requires work, so you see the 40% drop off in recruitment.

Not sure about now specifically, but during the Late 2000s surge, A LOT of the restrictions were removed and you started noticing a certain ... demographic.. military.

I'd be interested in a study about this because from personal observation, that demographic was a net negative. It's even worse because the branches typically promote (until later ranks) , sight unseen. So genuine smooth brain retards would be leading young soldiers and create a shitty nu culture.

Starting in the 1990's the outsourcing to China got REAL bad.

It was bad enough that even uniforms and boots weren't being made in the US.
It's almost as if the US is, in reality, a Chinese vassal state. It's kind of infuriating to be honest.

We always hear about "Russian hackers" but never about Chicom influence. Christ's sake, they're making our military's clothing now? It's bad enough they make most of our flags nowadays.

Not to mention the 40% is probably understating the effect. Like you said it's hard work, just because a dindu enlists doesn't mean they intend to do that hard work. They instead plan to be a half-assing skeezer to cheat the system.

We're going to end up with a smaller but more ideologically extremist military of leftist nutjobs itching to turn it into Antifa 2.0, and it might be by design.
On the bright side all the boog boys will need to do is misgender them and we'll see those 41% casualty rates start climbing fast, no need to expend any ammo.

It was pretty common to have a work party when only 5 of the 15 people were working.

Everyone else was sitting around bitching that it wasn't time to go back.

Oh, they tell you that too.

"Do not use language that denigrates the enemy, as it may offend their civilian population or allied personnel from regional allies."

Fuck them sand-monkey goat fucking savages.
Meanwhile on comms out on the Pacific you get to hear Indians and Pakis telling each other of how their going rape one another's moms.

But the thing that pushed when I was in was "if you piss on their dead you're just gonna make more terrorists". Which I never understood, cause killing the dad/brother/cousin in the first place was reason enough. Not to mention all the fuckhead Marines and Army personnel that'd tease kids with candy and Gatorade just to eat/drink it in front of them.

But on topic. Recruitment will stay down, because we are in a politically hot climate and people's opinions have put this "us versus them" mentality at the forefront when it comes to decision making. This will only continue to exacerbate the ostracization of the right, as their children are the most likely to enlist.

Recently had to endure a tirade from a colleague about how how DC's refusal to let us outsource a few more mission-critical components to China is driven by racism. Some days, the clown world really hits different.

All of these scumbags know what they're doing.

They just think they'll be on the last helicopter out with a briefcase full of cash, and that some other sucker will have to deal with the consequences of their malfeasance.

Why do trannies want to serve in the military if they're so against American imperialism?
Because it's a grift.

You join the military and then "become" trans - now all of your trans surgery is free (the army pays for it as it's 'Life Saving') and puts you out of commission for a very long time - between surgeries and recoveries, you'll be out of action for ~2.5 of your 4 year tour, but still getting paid as if you were actually serving. Once you're "done" - you're clearly a huge liability that competent leadership is happy to banish to some shitty desk job for the remaining ~1 year of your tour - and you can't be deployed anywhere dangerous because you'll routinely need medicine and treatments (which would normally disqualify you from service, but ... trans)

That's why everyone was so up in arms about Trump's transgender military ban - he cut off a huge gravy train (which, by the way, Biden has turned back on) which let trans people get all of the surgeries they wanted and get paid for it - along with free room and board for ~4 years.

How long will it be before the military tries slapping NDAs on anyone discharged to stem the bleeding?

I'm starting to suspect the cold war was racism against Russians at this point lol.

If it's about stopping the commies, well look at the number of boomers who claim to hate commies while sucking Commie Chink cock.

Also I suspect those "stop Asian hate" campaigns are funded by white rich people as well.

A LARGE percentage of Boomers were commie lovers.

As they got older, the GIMME mentality really started hitting.

Plus, China was the good guy, even though they were Commies, because they were on our side. They were the 'good' commies.

After the USSR fell apart, anyone who reminded the powers that be that China was still a superpower got mocked.

Poking fun at the military industrial complex collapsing aside, it seems like much of this stems from Biden being completely and utterly unable to appear as an effective leader. He does not inspire confidence and seems more interested in demonizing the citizens of the country he runs than in acknowledging real issues.
I still can't believe there was a time I thought joining the military was an honorable and noble thing to do.

I'd rather be arrested for draft dodging than fight for globohomo if they ever mandate the draft again.

The draft is literally indentured servitude. If they try it again, people are going to fight it and I'm sure at least one case will be taken to the Supreme Court about it.

Remember fragging in Vietnam? When you take scared, inexperienced teenagers and young adults away from their lives to die in a country they don't care for, they will probably try to kill you for it.

The average white working class chud finally saw through the bullshit around 2005-2006 and have checked out ever since. The 2000s, even before the great recession was hard on the white working class. So they saw friends die, get injured, get PTSD, for some shit they never got any benefits from. At least in the heyday of the Bri’ish Empire, they got different kinds of tea, now we just get invaded by different types of immigrants.

Go fight and possibly die for Israel, Wall Street, and HR catladies isn’t much of a rallying cry. Even before Trump, the white working class realized how fucked it was to fight for a system that calls them evil from day one. Conservatives over 50 will still get a raging erection about the military regardless of how bad the grift is, but everyone younger than that seems to be on board with the idea that it’s not worth fighting for a country that openly hates you.

Since working class white people are the glue that holds the military together, the military will just become every bit as useless as all the other institutions that are in freefall. The (((elite))) generally don’t care because they could just hire PMC/mercenaries when need be. America resembles the degenerated and decrepit late-stage Roman Empire more and more by the day. At least Rome took 300 years to decline, we’re on a crash course of maybe 30 years.

Ya, what's happening is that the military is losing Middle America's buy-in. By "Middle America" don't mean any particular area of the country, but rather that segment of the population which identifies more closely with the conservative values the military used to exemplify.

This hasn't been a sudden process, from my viewpoint. Started seeing things declining after Desert Storm. More and more attention was being directed to peripheral bullshit instead of readiness. More and more resources being devoted to "awareness weeks/months/whatever", for example.

You saw the increasingly rapid rise of the "political" flag officers (generals/admirals), supplanting the "warfighters". The "politicals" knew on what side their bread was buttered and went along with whatever crazy social justice schemes politicians in Washington drew up. Perhaps the most disgusting thing until the Biden regime was in 2015 during the Obama regime when the stated top priority of the U.S. Army was "lactation support". Things seemed to stay stable or at least not get much worse during President Trump's Administration, but we were treated to all manner of "political" flag officers being flagrantly disrespectful of President Trump, even had a retired three-star (Clapper) caught lying to Congress.

Now, of course, with Mommy at the controls, the decline continues. AF just allowed a black female captain to complete the Special Tactics Officer course despite multiple failures and at least one self-initiated withdrawal from the training. No matter what the AF top brass says, this cheapens the achievement of every person who never quit, who busted their ass to get that beret. And the AF would be very ill-advised to send this woman out on any real mission; to do so unnecessarily risks American lives and mission accomplishment. Smart thing to do is have her do a tour as exec officer to the AF Special Operations Command commander.

Now the Army believes soldiers won't be offended by a troon showering with them and living in the same barracks with them. My ass. The smart commands will give their troons permission to live off-base.

There's a place for social initiatives in the military - integration was one. "Don't ask, don't tell" worked, from my experience. But our "political" flag officers, as usual, show their utter lack of integrity by allowing homosexuality to be glorified. BIG difference between tolerance and worship. Also a BIG difference between treating everyone with courtesy and respect and going "woke".

We also watch the military hurt themselves with the Chinese Flu vaccinations. Far as I know it has just been recently that a vaccine has been approved for regular, general use. Could live with mandating vaccinations of a tried and approved vaccine, but not with something still considered experimental. Have no sympathy for the military as they see people leaving due to refusal to vaccinate. Costs many millions and a lot of time and resources to train these people, now the military will need to try and recruit people over again, get them trained, etc. Three AF Academy cadets weren't commissioned since they refused the jab. If they are asked to repay the cost of their education, they should point to Spenser Rapone, avowed Communist who was commissioned at his West Point graduation.

Suggest that not only enlisted recruiting is suffering, but so is officer recruiting/military academy recruiting. Last week read something where concern was expressed that many in the primary military recruiting age don't believe the country is worthy of their service. For the first time in seven decades of life see where these people are coming from. I now recommend joining the military only to get training in an area that would be useful after separation from service. Mighty hard to suggest that someone go risk their lives for the critters they can see on the media every day, critters whose "woke" values don't even come close to theirs.

What to do? Until we get President Trump or another conservative back in the White House, little to do. Vote appropriately.
