That 90’s Show - Netflix sequel series to That 70’s Show

If they are trying to market to Gen X is that why the cast looks like the Burger King Fun Club? All they are missing is a kid in wheel chair.
The market for this would be younger Gen X and older millennials. Basically people born in the late 70's early 80's and millennials that were born in the mid to late 80's. Basically people in their mid to late 30's and 40's.

I am their target audience. I was a kid in the early 90's and a teenager in the late 90's and I wouldn't pay to watch that garbage.

I have a stupid question about That 70s Show that I've never known who to ask, so here goes:

Was 'burn' common slang in the 70s that was sort of brought back in the mid-90s thanks to the brief populartiy of That 70s Show,
Or was 'burn' 90s slang that was sort of anachronistic when used in That 70s Show,
Or was it a term that didn't come from the 70s or 90s and was sort of popularized entirely by That 70s Show?

Doesn't look anything like any 90's I lived through. But hey, at least they have shoehorned diversity into the cast, at least they've got that going for them...?
Yeah, based on this trailer it does just look like more of that 70s Show and nothing is particularly 90s, then again I wasn't around for the 70s so I have no idea if the original show was all that accurate to begin with.

In terms of diversity, I suppose making a show that felt like an accurate reflection of the average demographics of teenagers in 90s in Wisconsin would lead to criticism in the media.

"Surely this can't go as poorly as That 80s Show" mumbles a Netflix producer.

Getting Glen Howerton to stop by for a Christmas episode, reprising his 80s Show role as Erics cousin or whatever could be a fun reference to that failed show while also working on its own because it's Glen Howerton. Maybe something for season 2 to consider.

I like that it looks the same as That 70s show, because half the fun of grandparents' houses is how they were never quite like parents' houses. Back in the day people didn't redo their entire interior decor just because advertisements told them to.

That 80's Show had crappy writing and the cast showed no chemistry. Best if it's forgotten.

Calling it now; Eric and Donnas daughter will have her lesbian awakening in the show, the old cast only shows up briefly like the last season of Scrubs and there will be a trans focused episode.
sounds very 90's alright...

Then the daughter and whatever tranny will get bullied mercilessly until they suicide because that's how the 90s were if you were a faggot.
