So in shitty news, Ka died. I think his output has been consistently great throughout his career and his penmanship was close to unmatched:

Dude was also a captain for FDNY and a 9/11 first responder. Sucks to see him go at age 52. RIP.

Let’s see what you guys think about some Aussie hip-hop.

Evil Eddie - Golden Age

Kid Mac - Lunatic

Funkoars - Team Idiot

Butterfingers - Everytime

Hilltop Hoods - I Love It

Hilltop Hoods - Monsters Ball

Bliss & Eso - I Am Somebody

I have so much more, which I’ll happily post if anyone wants more examples. I love the genre, and particularly the lyrics. They’re much more down-to-earth.

you forgot the Kings
Wow, I’ve never heard of these guys and I’m *really* into my Aussie hip hop. Definitely gonna give them a listen. Thank you!

Butterfingers is the band that basically nobody knows about, they’re so good. They do all sorts of different genres, too, no two of their songs sound similar.

I'm sure not many on this website are fans of Limp Bizkit but they dropped a new music video a few months ago and the song sounds like a lost House of Pain song from the 90's.
Music video is trash but the song slaps.

Wow, I didn’t think the Soggy Cookies were still around. I just started listening to Chocolate Starfish again the other day.

Also, I’ve been giving this one a lot of time lately.

I ended up buy the 20th aniversary cd. It's getting here Wednesday and I cannot wait. They gave everyone who ordered a prerelease of a remix Madlib did of One Beer, have a listen:

I forgot the digital release came out today for people who bought the album. Has some nice extras on it as well. Bunch of remixes and some phone interview with Dumile at the end. Overall a good purchase for collectors and fans, but realistically the original release is a good alternative for if your interested in just having the main tracks.
