I listened to Regurgitation once and my entire wardrobe became AND1 shorts and white beaters

I consider Crimson Idol to be the definitive concept album. It’s a relatable story and unlike MindCrime which is a good album but it has a more grounded in reality story about love, acceptance, and rejection by parents. First time I heard it on my headphones I was blown away by it and amazed at the details of the story. Re-Idolized just seemed phoned in and lacked the heart the original had.
Yeah I hate the concept of recording albums or adding fluff into albums that are already classics. It’s always so phony. Also I never got much into Queensrÿche except for their first two albums and the EP. I tried a couple times to listen to Mindcrime but never made it very far into it. Definitely one of those “classic albums” that never stuck for me because I didn’t listen to it at 14/15. For my American prog I like Fates Warning and Symphony X but that’s about it.

I actually like Queensrÿche. I think Promised land is one of their best albums. I find myself listening that much more than MindCrime. Also W.A.S.P. did have some bangers. I think the only album that’s not great is Neon God. It’s okay but a little over bloated for my taste.

In other news, Counter-Strike 2's new Deluge Music Kit Box includes Ghost - Skeleta as one of the newest additions of music kits. (Also, if you are wondering, HEALTH also got Rat Wars added).

New Grenadier track dropped a month ago and I didn't even notice, wasn't expecting the clean vocals but I think they made it work. Pretty sick, maybe they'll refrain from stealing House of Atreus riffs on this upcoming album lel.

Maybe they'll stop stealing Arghoslent riffs too kek
At the very least you could call those homages if you wanted to be charitable, but the Levant Sultanate is such a blatant ripoff of Bastards on the Hillside that someone even suggesting that it could have been an instance of subconscious borrowing is straining credulity.

The first peruvian Extreme Metal full-lenght made by the band HADEZ. A great mix of Death/Black Metal with lot of Doom Metal passages.
If you like bands as MORTEM or ANAL VOMIT (all the mentiones ones from Peru) you will like this. Raw as hell.
Hope y'all like it.

Give me some great extreme metal bands that don’t lean into satanism, raping women, extreme gore, or what have you.

Some of my favorites:

Death
Bolt Thrower
Drudkh
The Ruins of Beverast
Nagelfar
Hooded Menace
Ulver
Amorphis

My man, Hood Menace has an entire gimmick based on being devil worshipping Templars, directly samples satanic horror movies, and used to have pentagrams and an inverted cross in their logo. What are you doing?

It’s a different feel though. It’s got a layer of irony wrapped around the whole thing. Feels cinematic as a whole. There’s a different between self aware music like Hood Menace and cringe shit like Deicide.

Probably and yet Harri Kuokkanen from Ride For Revenge/Hail Conjurer plays in Hooded Menace. I'd highly recommend both bands but you said "no satanism".
