Idk how widespread this info is since not many seem to be speaking of it, but Jon Kennedy, OG vocalist for Hecate Enthroned, died on Monday. He also played bass in Cradle of Filth for a minute, he even played on the original version of DAHE. Also used to be best friends with Dani Filth and even supposedly tutored him how to do that high-pitched fry scream style that he's known for,; with that in mind it makes this a much sadder loss with all things already considered. I'm a fan of early CoF so this news hits hard. RIP JK


If you never heard Hecate Enthroned check this out, it sounds borderline identical to 90's Cradle, and Jon did the vocals on this so it's worth bumping for his memory.

Whats funny is XXX Maniak doesnt even sound anything like goregrind, they were not goregrind. They sound like Agoraphobic Nosebleed ran through a myspace filter.

Thanks for the info tho, I knew nothing about any of this. I'm glad I got my copy of Harvesting the Cunt Nectar from discogs and didnt give a cent to these fags

Slam is a type of brutal death metal that focuses on the slams (the slow groove parts that make you want to wave your arms around like a wigger)

Example:
Gorevent, Embryectomy, Cephalotripsy, Epicardiectomy, Inhuman Dissiliency. Devourment, Dripping, Digested Flesh, Vulvectomy, Vomitous, Cerebral Incubation = slam

Disgorge, Disentomb, Malignancy, Gorgasm, Putridity, Cerebral Effusion, Eternal Suffering, Cenotaph, Despondency, Severed Savior, Mortician, Prostitute Disfigurement, Deeds of Flesh = brutal death metal

It's their latest album. After that one they split up and it always seemed to me that they a very overlooked but I really dig them.
