Speaking of album of the year, anyone who wants to share his list-so-far/contenders?

I think I have talked about some pages ago but this year feels so totally lame. Every year I do a YT playlist where I safe all my contenters for AOTY. Then in December I usually start to listen through the whole playlist and rank all the albums. Usually I do a top-20 list and have easily 100 albums to choose from.
But this year? I have like 30 albums so far. I don't know why. Do I miss every banger album?

Must have, this year has been stacked. I don't rank it until December, but so far this year I've got Artificial Brain, Immolation, Blut Aus Nord, Deathspell Omega, Threnody, Voivod, Ripped to Shreds, Old Nick, Astral Tomb, Black Fucking Cancer, Pharmacist, Cosmic Putrefaction, The Chasm, Hissing, Serpent Ascending, Imperial Triumphant, Altars, Miscreance.

And that's not even all of it, that's just my highlights.

My year-end list usually goes through a couple revisions but at the moment, it includes Strigoi, Immolation, Bloodbath, Father Befouled, Druid Lord, Hierophant, Shape of Despair, The Chasm, Undeath, and Goatwhore.

The new Chasm was an unexpected late career jam. Easily their best since Conjuration of the Spectral Empire.

I did enjoy MEtal Hellsinger. A couple of the songs were decent imo. Most of the game devs are probably normies.
