About to head to Hunstville for the start of D.R.I.’s East Coast tour this evening. I have a most diabolical pregame planned with my brother before the show. If it just so happens any of you will be at this show, then I will buy YOU, yes YOU, one BEER!

EDIT: That’s a real shame about that member of Sacramentum. Far Away From the Sun is one of the all time greats. RIP
 
D.R.I. show last night was tons of fun. Last minute venue though, my brother keeps telling me good things about the original venue. I was looking forward to seeing it. The place it got switched to wasn’t bad, just a little hole in the wall in a strip mall. Spike popped a string with about 10 minutes left in the set, so no Beneath the Wheel or 5 Year Plan :(

Great energy from everybody though. Kurt both times I’ve met him has been a little standoff-ish, but at this point I think he’s earned it. Spike is always down to talk for long periods of time about anything. My brother plays guitar and talked to Spike for a long time about his gear before and after the show. Good night.

I am currently in an urgent care getting my hand checked out, I either sprained or broke something last night, not sure. I ain’t as young as I once was.
 
I've gotten into mathcore probably since Calculating Infinity from The Dillinger Escape Plan. While I haven't listened to a single other album from DEP I have been really into Car Bomb since their first album, even going so far as to get into Neck (one of the precursor bands.) I even watched Car Bomb's little documentary that came out 14 years ago.

Centralia, w^w^^w^w, Meta, Mordial, and their new EP "Tiles Whisper Dreams." Coming in at a little over 12 minutes.

I'd probably skip the videos as the music speaks for itself.


I don't have any strong thoughts on the EP yet after having listened to it twice except that I'm glad that these fucking guys that have to be mid 50s and do this shit for fun (the lead singer is a satellite engineer) can continue to make this stuff. Not many people will be into it but they still put on one of my favorite shows I've ever been to and I'll have to figure out which garbage Gildan shirt I want from their bandcamp page.

Used to make a point to get all the Blood & Crescent LPs, but let's face it, the guy pumps out a million albums between a million projects that practically all sound the same. And the newest Arbor album being really mediocre sucked, since it's his best project.

This is pretty good. However, their drummer is a tranny (Nadia is anagram for Aidan) and he's listed as "female" at Metal Archives.

I tried to make a thread about this on their forum, but of course every thread you submit has to be reviewed by the admin, so it didn't go through. Reason given: "you're an idiot and i hate you." I did something similar a few weeks ago (filed a report concerning inaccurate information about another tranny, Matt Moore AKA Vis Crom, ex-Absu) and the reason given then was "fuck off." That HellBlazer guy sounds like a real titan of intellect. Sad!

I hate that metal archives is one of the best sources of metal info. I've found out about many a passing of metal legends before it was widely reported (if it was at all, really) from there, and using their keyword search feature for music themes is great when you are in a certain mood. Too bad they are such easily triggered faggots and exclude certain bands and ban reviews if they are "offensive".
 
I have to begrudgingly admit that this tranny is pretty based.

As for MA, I haven't posted on their forum since goddamn 2014 because even then they were all such fags.
