Anyone else catch the Mayhem/Marduk tour? Shit was fantastic. Although unfortunately I only saw the last 20 seconds of the last Immolation song. Great timing.
Also I'm silently seething about the shirts I bought ending up way bigger than expected. I swear they mixed in XXL by accident or something.

Mayhem (AKA my number 1 favorite band) has released a new album and I love it.
It is not as experimental as previous albums. It is a more straightfoward Black Metal but with its own surprises here and there. I think Chimera is the one that comes closer to this one.

Hammerheart is releasing the 3 demos from Otyg and a remastered box set containing their entire discography, all on either CD or vinyl.

New Worm album Necropalace is releasing today, it's live on Spotify right now! Don't see it uploaded to Youtube yet.

That's some good stuff

I am one of the ones who finds it unmemorable and the compositions very flat, but I find Pestilence overrated and dislike prog so 🤷‍♂️ I don't think it's just malding old Pestilence fans who criticise it, though, its weirdness feels very contrived to me. That's probably not an issue to people looking for what it's delivering (intentionally "different" music).

If anyone doesn't know the band, this is what they sounded like before Spheres, decent death/thrash.
