i duuno man. i think Abortion should be legal but to a point. both parties need to agree to the Abortion for it too happen and if there disagreements with that, either side can spilt ways and have no responsibility over the kid or get the Abortion.

i remember my mate and his now wife decided to have an abortion because they were not ready economically to support a child and were still to busy with work. few years later, they got married and now have a daughter they love.

Uhh, yeah, kids don't have the same rights as adults..... but they do still have the right to life. Unless they're still in the womb, I guess. In that case they don't have the right to life, legally speaking, but only because they are not considered to be a child through this lens. If they were, it would obviously not be allowable to murder them for the sake of the mother's convenience.
 
Meh, I don't care anymore. Half our politicians can't even clearly define what a "woman" is, so it shouldn't shock people on the left that this is happening. Once you make it taboo to define what a "woman" is, don't be surprised if your rights (as a woman) disappear.

I've always leaned heavily on the side of keeping it legal-- mainly for the sake of preventing offspring with severe deformities, rape babies, extreme underaged pregnancy, health risks to the mother.

However, witnessing actual attempts to troon-groom children within the public school system has made me change my mind. I consider transhumanism and it's corporate juggernaut to be a bigger issue to worry about.

I can hypothetically prevent an unplanned pregnancy, but I can't fight a whole school system if it wants to troon out my impressionable child. Anyone who's been on this site for a while knows what kinds of long term physical and emotional side effects can occur in someone who transitions at a very young age.

I'm actually wondering that IF this gets overturned, does that also mean individual states won't have to adopt the kinds of grooming that the acronym brigade keeps trying to push nationally? Would this mean individual states won't be compelled to cover trans surgeries within their medicaid programs?

I don't want to derail the topic, but I just want to say that I'm much more on the side of "states rights" now than I was in previous years.

No, unfortunately this decision won't affect anything else besides abortion. The draft opinion basically goes out of its way several times to reassure everyone of this.

People who live in regular big boy world and not fantasy Sanshain land don't have a lot of patience for the twitter "Oh, the value and rights of human life!" garbage. Does your kid do anything for me? No? Then I can advise you and I would like for you to have good outcomes, but ultimately I couldn't give less of a fuck what you do, I have not the slightest interest in even thinking about it or lending any resources to it, kill all your children, the babies and the regular ones, kill your whole family, kill yourself, so long as it isn't in my state or my town I could not care less at the end of the day, I have my own already struggling people to worry about and there are a lot who'd be happy to use whatever space you free up.

Why do people keep saying "abortion is not a valid form of birth control, use a condom"? Who honestly thinks this is the standard reason people get abortions? I'd always believed that just about everyone used birth control of some form when they had sex, and abortions happen when that birth control fails.

It's quite possible these are legit incels who don't know the basics of sex. When I said that I'd broken condoms before a bunch of posters acted like it was a really weird thing to say, someone even put it in the random_txt thread. Pretty much anyone who has sex and/or talks to other people who have sex know this is a fact of life, condoms aren't magical.

We literally just went over, within the past few pages of this thread, that over 90% of abortions are "elective." Meaning that they are just being used as a form of birth control.

And no, condoms aren't perfect. Nothing is. If you are not prepared for the possibility of pregnancy, do not have sex. As incels have found out the hard way, sexual intercourse is a not a human right.
