No matter your argument I don't think killing a perfectly healthy child is a good idea.

I've known people who have had abortions and they generally regret it. I do understand in cases like Harlequin or Anacephaly but you're talking about this as though it's more common than even troons.

All the women I've known who regretted having abortions were pressured into it by someone else. Most women don't regret their abortions.

An embryo/fetus is vastly different from a born child. Prolifers love to use images of whole ass babies or stillborns for propaganda, but that's not what a vast majority of abortions look like. Most abortions look more like heavy periods than anything else. I think it's like 90% that happen before ten weeks. A ten week old fetus is tiny and barely resembles anything human, and certainly doesnt have any awareness or sentience. Before that shit gets even tinier and less human looking.

Even actual born, fully sentient people can't use someone else's body without consent even if it means certain death. Like you can't force someone to give up blood or an organ without consent even if someone else is going to die without it (and tons of people do die because they can't get organs and shit). Something that's the size of a lentil, looks more like a cocktail shrimp than anything else, and doesnt have a developed brain shouldn't get special privileges that even actual people don't have.

If that's the case, why should I be forced to gestate and give birth to an unwanted child? I like to get edgy on A&H but I'm not lying about the fact that I would be a terrible parent and pregnancy and childbirth would probably have disastrous effects on my mental health. Nothing good would end up happening to a baby left in the care of my crazy ass.

I have an IUD and I don't bang dudes. My risk of pregnancy is very low, but unfortunately it's not non-existence.

I think like 50% of women who have abortions were using at least one form of birth control. It definitely reduces the risk of pregnancy but doesn't completely eliminate it.

Being a bad parent is bringing a kid into the world that you don't want and can't care for properly. Plus there are already tons of unwanted kids in the world, not to mention putting a kid up for adoption still means going through pregnancy and child birth and all the potential risks involved (including potentially death).

Someone who would be a bad parent is the last person that needs to be forced to have a kid if they get pregnant. It's not fair to the kid above all else.

When you get a fetus in your body, you can do what you want with it.
