More accurately, it was the fallout and response from the MSM who could milk Heather Heyer's death for all its worth and create a new moral panic. Antifa were just useful idiots who helped set the stage. And once you had the Optics War following the deplatforming and demonetization of major racist sites, everyone in the alt-right more or less turned on and blamed each other for the state of affairs. No one truly recovered from the fallout, but the George Floyd riots and Trump's loss might be the two critical events that give pro-White people the much needed reprieve from scrutiny and opportunity to rebuild the political capital they lost.

Honestly the only way I can see the alt-right making an actual comeback is if they reinvent themselves as an anti-RINO/neo-con movement. They would actually have to pick there leaders and not just immediately disavow anyone as a fed once they fuck up.
I don't think they could do it. They don't seem to be able to act or find anyone reasonable or at the very least palatable from a mainstream perspective.

Can someone unironically explain the 4chan's infatuation with trannies to me? Like, I get disliking trannies, but these people have a pathological and morbid obsession with a group that probably makes up less than 1% of the population. Modern day 4chan is where the edgiest of edgelords congregate to circlejerk. Transgender people are the current target because they’re outside of the social norm far enough to be easily dehumanizable and so make great targets for said edgelords to fantasize about gunning down in the street and being awarded the Medal of Honor for it. They collect suicide notes and have a field day with them because they’ve convinced themselves that transgenders are the symbol of everything in the world that they don’t like and any time one dies, it’s a cause or celebration for them because they have literally nothing else going for them.

The Farms can get close to that point occasionally but that tends to happen on the political sperg out threads and comes from people that came to this site thinking it’s a right-wing pro trump hug box, but ultimately the Farms’ dislike for transgender people stems from the sheer number of them that end up with threads for being massive lolcows and/or pedophiles, as opposed to 4chan’s hate boner which is much more politically charged, as well as the fact they are more than likely secretly tranny chasers that jack it to trans porn and then feel ashamed of themselves so they aggressively and loudly laugh over them dying. I remember the days when 4chan was just shitpost and meme central and where all the gray hat hacktivism started. I find the TRS guys responsible for the resurrection of white nationalism since WLP died. Maybe the "Communism" you see in white nationalism isn't some sort of anti-fascist infiltration but rather reflections of the pro-social policies of Mussolini and Hitler. We could also talk about how the Marxist-Leninist states of the Eastern Bloc were more white nationalist than any of the Western liberal democracies. I ask you to stop being such a reactionary before you start becoming a catboy.

I think the best they can do is what they're doing at the moment, making dumb as a rock politicians/communities accidentally or intentionally re-iterate alt-right beliefs.
Like:

• anti-lockdown/anti-vaxx
• Qanon/believes in conspiracy theories due to extreme paranoia
• naïve communities (eco, lefty, alternative medicine, etc.)
• anti-coalition due to any of the above

Overall alt-right (since the few that stood out either moved on or got absorbed) as a ideology never really manage to define itself other than "muh perfect race/social norms".
