I was discussing food stamps in that context in reply to the person asking if the state investigates fraud. Since disability is mostly at the federal level, I was weighing in on what they could investigate for benefits at the state level, based on her videos, as the OC implied there was potential proof of fraud there.
I don't know if becky gets food stamps, and I really don't care. However, if she does get them, amber's videos don't reveal any sort of fraud since amber makes it pretty clear that she prepares and eats her food on her own. No sharing the salmon, etc. Amber also likes to speak about the food in the house in terms of specific ownership "this is my soup, that is becky's hot chocolate" Also, when they are shopping, even if it's because of ambers fatass inability to walk around the store, she has her cart, and becky has hers. She even refers to it as "this is what I'm getting, becky has what she's getting in her cart" we never see them actually check out, and based on what we know of their lives, we can infer that amber pays for both carts.
Even if amber filmed herself paying for both carts, they don't ask an applicant if someone they live with pays for their food, they ask if they share food. All becky would need to say is no, and if she needs to qualify that, she can say we have different dietary needs and eat at different times, but people are rarely asked to qualify their answer.
Again, not speculating whether becky gets food stamps, just discussing their activity for all to see on the net, potentially inviting penalties from a state investigator, as the OC states, in terms of food stamps, if that's a state benefit she's getting, I think the videos are pretty safe and would actually serve as evidence that they don't prepare and eat together and are thus separate households for the sake of food stamp regulations.
This was specifically about a state investigator, and that's pretty much the only state benefit I could think of, aside from medicaid. It's not like Becky is getting TANF or something.
