as good as gamification is I think that the main point, as in discussing about the lolcows, has kinda taken the backseat for dumb shit like negscoring and adding jack shit to the conversation just for the sake of points, can't we allow a system that rewards both? kinda take the stickers out of the scoring into the posts themselves, as in :numfag: and shit like that.

Exactly right. It’s a good reminder of the level of activity or interest in a thread and your part in the discussion. It works better for keeping track of where you left off than the other methods.

I do not care about the score and have no idea what mine was. But the notifications were nice.

The whole score system and alerts I can understand considering you don't need 20 sticker alerts to bloat your inbox and scoring based off of internet points will always be fucking gay, but after the hitler scramble, it just feels like stickers don't have much of a purpose right now. I'm all for encouraging people to actually discuss shit with each other instead of the usual internet autism, but without the tracking or hell even the karma bullshit, they have no point to them.
 
The score was pretty much useless and meaningless.
I've had notifications turned off for years.

As long as stickers remain, I don't care about the score or notifications. If stickers get removed, then we must riot.
