this is silly, because the timelines were set by NLC, and they breached those deadlines 4 times over 12 months, so i dont even know where they were going with that one

what the NLC didnt account for was the ELA having contractual obligations to clients that would put the ELA in breach due to the NLA sitting on their hands for a year and not meeting their own deadlines they themselves set
the problem for NT and that region in particular is that Rio Tinto mining operations is ceasing as well and this space launch station was meant to be something to bring in money after the mine shuts, hence the expansion plans

but it sounds like the ELA was made promises and given deadlines by the NLC, and the ELA probably did a lot of business based on those deadlines
"yes NASA, we can launch 10 rockets for you by 2026, all launchpads will be operational by the end of 2025, that will be 10 million dollars for your slot in our launch schedule"
then the NLA delayed it so long, 12 months of continuous delays, that the ELA will be in breach of many of their contracts so the board of ELA iced the deal and is now moving to QLD where they likely already have full approval to build a fully functional multi launch pad station

This is true of any Abo run organisation anywhere. You literally cannot organise them, they refuse deadlines, and they drag their feet on everything.
They are 100% the cause of the problems they still suffer in current year.
Any kind of implementation to improve their lives will fail because of their inability to stop bickering and fighting with eachother - that is a good 80% of the hold up when trying to deal with them, with 20% being pure laziness.

Theres no way hed be able to remain as leader of the coalition in victoria after this, especially given its revealed Deeming apparently offered to settle out of court for just fees and Pesutto didnt respond.

Starting to think victoria is just cursed, there hasnt been a functional opposition in this state for a decade now, regardless of how latte sipping lefty victoria is, Labor would not have survived all the corruption and controversy without the libs being absolutely useless.

Their hospital system is constantly lagging behind the other states/territories and they overspent the health budget by millions paying for IT services that didn't exist and still got elected.

victoria paid Glasgow 380 millions dollars to not host the commonwealth games (which if you check the figures were never economically feasible for the budget they projected and isntead was just a lie to buy votes in the regions)

glasgow are running the entire trimmed down games for the 380 million brining up the question, well why couldnt we have run a stripped down games in melbourne?

NSW is no better when it comes to corruption. Premiers here are forced out of office by ICAC investigations and it still doesn't stop the next lot from being just as corrupt. We must be about due for another police/judiciary scandal about now, too.
