I have had it on draught in France and it tastes nicer than the canned English shite. Nothing to write home about but certainly a pleasant interlude in a little street cafe on a hot day in Rocamadour.

EDIT: Currently drinking Laphroaig Single Malt. Goes very well with any real ale.

If you're a white wine drinker you can't go wrong with this:

Virgin Wines is the only place I've found in the UK that sells it but, if you chill it down to about .5 of a degree it becomes something transcendent. You'll jizz as you drink it.

They always seem to put a bottle in my subscription, and one of the places I eat lunch at regularly has it on offer. And your right it's amazing when it's chilled right.

The only reason I am drinking wine tonight is I can't be bothered walking down to my offy, and I only have a bottle of Appleton in apart from a lot of wine and I don't feel like being that much of a reprobate tonight.

Ah you're a Virgin customer jolly good. My discovery club has been on hold since we've been building the house and have had other priorities. Did you get pissed off when they stopped putting tasting notes in the cases?

I been drinking Wellingtons Imperial Russian Stout lately, in short it is strong, and has a robust flavor to it. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/618/2188/ sure there are probably better Imperial Russian Stouts.

One of the strangest beers I had which was actually pretty good, when I went to NYC was http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/132/147262/ it was interesting, when me and my friend got through the bottle it just got spicier but reviews are mixed on it, I say it goes good for a stout.

If given the opportunity, if you enjoy Russian stouts, this is a must try: Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout

Not sure if I'll find that in Ontario, Canada, we tend to get stuff from New York, Michigan, and Oregon due to the control board we have, its hard for my province to actually get a decent selection of beers.

But I'll be going to Connecticut at the end of the month, and there is a beer distribution place that sells it, not far from where I am staying too.
 
But yeah, my drinking is pretty much confined to the aformentioned Sam Adams, sometimes Killian's Irish Red, and my father's homebrew he makes every few years when the mood strikes him.

As for actual heavy liquor, whiskey, but no real brand preference. Neutral on most other things, but I detest Rum. And anything with a sweet taste can go fuck itself, but that's not an alcohol exclusive thing for me. I just can't stand sweet drinks (excluding straight juices mind you), they all taste like syrup to me, no matter how mild the sweetness is.
 
I feel somewhat out of place here. I'm seeing some users mention cheap macro lagers, and then a lot of others posting dark crafts that end up feeling like a full meal after drinking them. Nothing wrong with either, I'm just in neither camp.

Give me all of your blondes, kolshs, bocks, and wheats. Granted I do have a soft spot for some darker options, but lighter beers have always been a massive preference for me. And I don't mean light in any regard besides the style/color. There are plenty of hoppy, flavorful, and even strong beers that fall into the lighter style spectrum.

Uhhhh, just off the top of my head I'd reach for:

Blonde: Leffe Blonde
Kolsh: Krankshaft, Full Circle
Bock: 'Bock, Bock'
Wheat: Gumballhead
 
Sadly I don't have much of an assortment in beers here nor the money to get them as much. I love strong dark beers like Old Rasputin, or more light hoppy beers in the light of Schneider Weisse,Celebrator,Erdinger,Tucher to name a few. So I mostly settle for Samuel Adams,Heineken,Stella Artois or Medalla (Local light beer of Puerto Rico) and Modelo (Local dark beer of Puerto Rico)
 
Today I decided to get myself a beer from Trader Joe's to drink while watching a hockey game. There weren't many individual beers available, so I got one of the few I could find: From 21st Amendment Brewery in San Leandro, CA. It's called Toaster Pastry and is supposed to taste like Pop-Tarts. But it really doesn't. I don't know how to describe what it does taste like, but it's kind of odd. Oh well, it's still beer.

Edit: I've finished most of it, and I'm definitely feeling a little buzzed or something. It's 19.2 oz and 7.6% alcohol content. I'm kind of small and a bit of a lightweight.

I've tried a few of their cheap-as-fuck canned beers. They're okay.

I'm ashamed to admit I've been drinking nothing but Milwaukee's Best Ice, Natty Light, Natty Ice, and Heiniken Light lately. It's been on sale super cheaper than normal.
