The Beer Thread

Holy fuck I am drinking a lavender kettle sour right now and it is an experience. It's like I'm drinking a beer with a whole spice chest infused into it. Its INCREDIBLE. One of my new favorites for sure. Who would have thought actual lavender sprigs would be good in beer?

Sours are underrated this sounds really fucking good

Does anyone have decent suggestions for someone who hates that beer tastes like a spoiled asshole and doesn't get you drunk quickly?
I'll drink straight liquor before any beer, aside from a malt "wine cooler" or something like that.
Blue raspberry Four Loko tastes pretty fucking decent, and it's 14% ABV. About $1.99 for a can too.

dis good

I remember once getting ridiculously drunk off beer at Oktoberfest in Munich about a decade ago. I had a hotel room within walking distance that I paid a small fortune for. That was some damn good beer, and they had tons of it. The morning after sucked, though.

oktoberfest is the shit. always write your number/return address on your arm before heading out for the day

I’m no fancy beer afficianado although I do enjoy myself a tasty Märzen or Bière de Garde. The latter being absurdly difficult to come across aside from a place that sells it for $5 a can.

There's a shandy around these parts by Leinenkugel's that's really popular. I hate it. It tasted like piss that sat out in the sun.
Summer Shandy is one of those things where I will never understand its popularity. It's legit awful. Their Grapefruit Shandy is kind of a pale imitation of the grapefruit Schofferhofer but it's still decent. Leinie's has a handful of genuinely decent offerings, but Summer Shandy isn't one of them.

I tried PBR Extra last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. After two four-packs at night, I was pleasantly drunk and didn't have a depressed hangover the next day and morning after.

Friday night and I'm having a McEwan's Headspace.

It's a Scotch Whisky beer and it's fuckin' good.

I drink pretty much any beer on hand, as my favorite is free followed by cold. I've even had a beer from each continent before. My favorites are generally lagers, though I am also fond of darker beers. I generally don't drink IPA's because I am burned out on them. My all time top favorites are:

Köstritzer
Dos Equis Amber
Irish Death
Boddington's Pub Ale
Mississippi Mud
Mickey's Fine Malt Liqour

Ok so, are there any beers that have flavor to them? Most taste like plain sparkling water with a sorta bitter aftertaste to me, and I don't exactly like it too much.
