Trashfire The BetterHelp, CreatorHealth, InfluenceLogic Rabbit Hole - Candid 2.0, brought to you by Joel Robbinson

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I just watched the drumr828 video finally and I'm genuinely disappointed with how much empty space and rambling there is. Anyone think it's worth it to stay up tonight, attempt to collaborate all the information I can and just put it into 1 video instead of it being separated all over the internet?
I think so. It could save people from falling for this.

Alon Matas the Founder of the company tries out google glass in April and then 5 months later Kati Morton is shilling for better help. This suggests to me she is more than a "counselor" time to see what she says about criticism of the site to see what her real role is.

Honestly what surprises me more than this revelation is all the people in this thread saying "I was thinking about giving this a try"

Like... why do you need psychiatric help? Are you guys actually fucking nuts or are you just massive pussies who overblow your "mental health issues"?
My technique is coming in assuming they're autistic until proven otherwise, it's a great benchmark

LOL if you though KF wasn't full of mentally ill spergs

I wonder if there are any other "skeptics" besides Andywarski and Blaire White that shilled this shit? I checked ShoeOnHead's and AmoredSkeptic's channels to see if they shilled it and it seems they haven't(I only checked from now all the way back to Jan 2017 since it seems a lot of Betterhelp sponsorships are either in 2018 or 2017). This does make me think less of Blaire now honestly. Optimistically she could just be dumb and not know how to vet sponsorships properly before doing them. Though if I'm being more cynical I'd say it's because she doesn't really care about her audience and is just interested in money. And the more of this stuff she's involved in the more likely I am to think it's the latter.

I can see this being a bigger conspiracy than Candid(which it seems to be) by how many people are shilling for it currently. And I think the damage it has done and will do is far greater than Candid.

To add to this, HIPAA 'certification' is given by people clicking accept on a box that says they read the rules/law. Every 'certification' course is done by a third party and cannot be verified due to the rigorous requirement of clicking on a box. If you see a medical professional tout being certified/trained, leave and never come back. There is no oversight and an actual medical professional would never have to mention it due to it being implied.

HIPAA is something you don't fuck around with, ever. Unless I'm missing something, you don't have to get certified (and any site offering such "certification" should set off the scam alarm bells right quick). It's just something you are expected and required to learn about and adhere to when you enter into any medical health profession, regardless of what position you take, even down to janitorial and clerical staff.

HIPAA is some serious shit, and for damn good reasons, too. The slightest, tiniest breach of it can open up any hospital or medical office to a world of lawsuits and hurt.

If you want to guarantee I never buy your product, advertise it through Youtubers.

If I never have to hear a shill for Squarespace, Dollar Shave Club, Audible, and Skillshare again, I'll die happy.

Just a quick update Andy Warski came on Ethan Ralph's Killstream and talked about the sponsored video he did for better help its towards the end of the stream and he comes on around 3:39:30 and explains his side of the story. There are too many details to his story except to say he thought it was a good cause but he was happy to share with Null the emails surrounding it and seemed happy to fuck over the people who approached him with the offer and is going to make a video about how he fucked up. If you want to see if a youtuber shilled for better help just search it in there search option in their videos. I checked both Amoured Skeptic And shoe and both didn't have videos shilling for better help

Also does anyone have the title of Andy Warski Better Help video I want to see if that video was able to miraculously able to be monetized also and If anyone know of any other youtubers that always get demonetized and shilled for better help. Looking at the monetization of the videos is a way to see if google has its hands in this mess, but all the youtubers I've looked at have been big enough to always be monetized.

Also NULL post Andy Warski's emails It would tell a lot about the situation especially in the way that the company connected with youtubers especially how they were doing it early on.

Ah but you see Better Help wrote the TOS and because they adhere to Delaware Law are able to be totally nonrepsonsible for anything that their "counselors" do.
  • The Counselors are neither our employees nor agents nor representatives. Furthermore, we assume no responsibility for any act, omission or doing of any Counselor.
Edit- Forgot to mention this is why they can claim to be HIPPA certified and still have no responsibility. And as long as they collect meta data that can't be used to identify specific individuals they aren't violating HIPPA

Just searching betterhelp with a user's name won't always get you results as they also have sister sites they sometimes use and the shill links can be also under http://tryonlinetherapy.com/ among other things.

Also Andy just removed the video now, but here is a archive of the page if that helps https://archive.is/lzqI1

A scam towards the mentally ill? Color me surprised. As someone who actually battles depression I know all too well about this bullshit, most "mental health faculties" don't care about helping, they just want to scam you out of thousands of dollars. The fact YouTubers are pushing this scam makes me even angrier. Legit depression is not a god damn joke to profit off of. Nor is any other mental illness. This shit is genuinely miserable, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

This was mentioned before, but a normalisation of depression and anxiety in social media has led to an increase in the number of people who consider themselves mentally ill. Before the Internet, you pretty much had to try to kill yourself, or admit to hearing instructions from the CIA via your radio, before seeing a shrink became a realistic option--because who the fuck wants to spend money to talk about your mother to a stranger if you don't have to. But now you have young people everywhere (and presumably on Kiwi Farms as well) becoming convinced that occasional periods of sadness or stress means that they're one bad day away from hanging themselves. And that makes them vulnerable to scams like this, especially as most are far too autistic to actually go out and see a real therapist.

ITT people being surprised that random youtube-"stars" who'd livestream their asshole for cash have no integrity or moral fiber whatsoever.

EDIT: Also I agree that randomly feeling kinda sad and shitty is not the same as clinical depression, still professional help can also do some good there because things can escalate into full blown depression. Also this "service" turns the hard cases away because of liability, which comes at no surprise. This means to be a scam that tries to exist in a legal grey area, front to back.

Actual therapy is supposed to be hard. It's like a workout for the mind. If therapy is an enjoyable experience where you just cry to somebody once a week without really approaching your problem in a constructive way you're doing it wrong. Then again I'm a big fan of CBT. This here is also highly unethical of all "counselors" involved and if they have an actual degree from an accredited place the "counselors" involved should have some explaining to do.

Encyclopedia Dramatica does a decent job for a quick overview but it misses a few things. The CEO after candid was done and data was collected on those racist TROLLS sold the data and a job with a major tech company which suggests the entire reason candid ever existed was to allow somebody with a social media platform to censor dem racist TROLLS. This also explains why the CEO was so aggressive in going after critics because she needed Candid to be success in order to get her job a major tech company and move up the ladder of Silicon Valley. If you actually a CEO of a new app startup no way you would be that aggressive towards critics

The fact that Defranco seems to have a very strong link to this is saddening. It's a conflict of interest and lack of disclosure at least and looks very poor on his image.

Shane I frankly couldn't give a shit about this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he saw an opportunity to be a drama queen AND make money. His last documentary had a clear goal of doing damage control for someone who, frankly, didn't deserve it and this time around seems to possibly be the same while making cash on the side. Part 2 was awful for it's "WOW HE'S TOTALLY A SOCIOPATH GUYS* *not a diagnosis :)))" and Part 3 was worse because it started showing how much of an asshole Shane can be with his poor response to critisim while fake smiling about it and you just know the intention is to make the Paul's look good in the end.

Frankly the only thing he's accomplished so far is making himself look like an asshole, the only thing I think he might of achieved is scaring people into paying for BetterHelp because "Wow I totally have these things Shane's scared off, I need help!" It's kind of disgusting and there's no "I'm sorry your offended" that can cover it,

Shane shouldn't of taken the deal with this series, it's manipulative.

Boogie is fat lol. Nobody is surprised he took this deal and if anyone can scooter away from this one, it's probably Boogie since all he has to do is go "I wanted to help guys :("
