The best part about the final is that it made everything past season 3 useless. You could have had Soldier Boy just depower Homelander (and cuck child) right then and there and everything would have been at the exact same point.

Comic book is bad but also fun to read, you can clearly tell the author has a massive hateboner toward capeshit (except the DC Trinity for some reasons).

The show is just Eric Kripkike coping and seething about Trump and Musk.

One of the hallmarks of the show was that every season had the characters all reset to exactly what they were and what they knew at the start of the show. Nothing ever built properly, characters went retarded on things that were a big deal for them to discover in a past season or episode as if it was all brand new knowledge.

It was like everyone on the show took Ted Lasso's advice and were like goldfish, not remembering anything for more than 5 seconds.

Add in the fact that every season seemed to spin its wheels from the second episode to the second-to-last with nothing really happening until the finale once the first episode sets the table for the season and it is just total shit.

This may just shock you, but it is entirely possible, even common, for something shitty to get a shitty adaptation, and The Boys is definitely one of those cases.

The comic IS bad, and the show is a bad adaptation of a bad comic.

It is fairly hilarious that the showrunners told on themselves by making the most embarrassing and degrading thing Homelander could offer to do to save his life was some gay shit. They basically called him a dirty faggot 10 seconds before he was murdered. That was the most embarrassing thing that they could think of to do with the character after 5 seasons.
