Kimiko not just ripping Sage’s head off instead of miraculously manifesting the power-stripping beam that she’s literally never used before and that there was no evidence of her having developed plus does every supe exposed to radiation like that develop that power?
Sage was literally the Heinrich Himmler to Homelander's Adolf Hitler. The fact that she got off scot-free goes to show that the writers have no sense of justice. Only revenge and humiliation.

it's even on /v/

They're so ideologically captivated they are unwilling to write compelling villains,
They tend to write more compelling villains than heroes, because their ideology demands their heroes can't have flaws for fear that the audience that hero represents might take away a bad message.

no sense of justice.
I remember reading someplace that Kripke said he couldn't kill off Maeve. Even though her actress has pretty much retired from acting, he still couldn't bring himself to kill of a gay character.

I get the sense he has a sense of justice, but only to the meta insofar as it fits his personal paradigm of justice, not the actual story.

Just gonna leave this for all the "comic book was bad anyway" faggots here

The comic is 98% edgy dogshit like most of Garth's work, but the ending is genuinely really good if not outright the best part of the entire series.

The fact that Kripke somehow managed to make something so unyieldingly garbage that even the show's ballwashers that would feverishly defend anything so long as it owned Drumpf can barely bring themselves to say it was anything better than "okay, but still not as bad as GoT!" says a lot.

I'd read the comic a hundred times over rather than watch a single new episode of this slap-dash waste of time made by a hack. May it rot in hell where it belongs.

You can tell a kike wrote it because they weren’t just cowardly enough to not let a black Roman be a villain, they also had her go through a humiliation ritual by turning her into a literal retard eating goy slop. Also laughed my ass off when high is the cuck named his unborn daughter after his dead ex. Silver lining that at least I won’t have to look at starlights Botox stare ever again since that actress ain’t getting shit for future castings

As someone who really loved the comics I feel like the finale was another case of just get it done. Also feels like the writer didn't like that people actually liked Homelander, or the villains, so he gave him the most pathetic exit imaginable.
And the jab at Elon was just cringeworthy. Good job there.

Overall I enjoyed the show, it had enough differences to make it interesting even for someone who read all the comics. they did some of my favorites pretty dirty though, poor Love Sausage deserves better than that.

Edit: Oh and The Deep should have lived. He was the only one of the 7 to even survive in the comics ffs.

So with the season over, now will write my thoughts

In isolation, there were things I really did like. Homelander and Butcher's fates were very fitting for their characters, but I wish that both of them did some heinous shit before they fell. Homelander's humiliation would've had weight if he did some heinous shit to innocent people in the season rather than killing the sycophantic president and Not!Elon. However, his death really is fitting for this spoiled manchild with superpowers that never worked a hard day in his life.

Butcher too would've benefitted from doing some atrocity before Hughie kills him. The scene between the two is really solid in isolation, but it really would've benefitted from some more stuff.

I think outside of Hughie and Starlight, the rest of The Boys didn't really have fitting endings. MM's felt way too happy and Kimiko's ending is fine, but it feels a bit funny that the finale of The Boys hinged on exposing a japanese woman to nuclear radiation to strengthen her.

But The Deep's ending is flawless since he went out in the best manner possible and he really had the most consistent arc throughout the series like A-Train. Ashley also kind of benefits a lot as her ending fits the type of person she is.

However, Sage felt like she got off way too scot free especially since she helped give the idea of putting Starlight supporters in Death Camps, her getting lobotimized into a retard isn't really good, and she is a character that really never earned any sympathy for all the terrible shit she did.

Oh Father's thing made sense given the blatant blasphemy he spouted.

But a lot of this season really falls due to how there are spin-offs that really hamper the show. The fact that Gen V characters make pointless cameos suck and the fact there was blatant setup for a Gen V season 3 in this finale before it canned really says a lot. But the worst offender is the whole bullshit with Soldier Boy since all his stuff was just a backdoor pilot for a show yet to be seen, and his morals flip on a dime. I swear the season probably would have been improved a lot if they didn't have any of these spin-offs influence the main show.

Not helped with the fucking shit jokes like the 5 minute speech about how Frenchie views people's ass holes or that dumb shit with the animal themed superheros.

Overall, this season definitely sucked, it and Season 4 are equally bad in different ways, but at least there was some decent things in the end.

4/10 Do not watch Vought Rising

Here's how I would have ended the series.

Instead of the mcguffin immediately turning Homelander into a normal man it slowly drains his powers.

Homelander engages in a brutal 5v1 fight against The Boys in the oval office and kills them one by one with the fight getting progressively harder as he gets weaker and weaker.

Homelander kills Butcher last and gloats about his victory but his glee turns to horror as he realizes he's mortally wounded and his powers are completely gone.

Homelander bleeds out and dies surrounded by blood and the mutilated corpses of The Boys. His victory was completely hollow and he died a powerless nobody.

The funny thing is that even though this shitshow is a perfect example of what happens when a bitter outcast retard focuses all his pent up angst from glee club days into writing political commentary disguised as entertainment, it will keep happening.
Even the non political people I know who actually watched this show dropped it after season 3. At a certain point, making everything about some currentyear individual and how you TOTALLY, NORMALLY HATE THEIR GUTS just turns into a self report about what an obsessed faggot you are. It's almost sad that Starr had to tard wrangle his own showrunner but at least people are giving him the credit he deserves for delivering an excellent screen performance every time he was in a scene. Karl Urban has been a big name actor for a while, maybe not A list, but for fucks sake the dude was Eomer over 20 years ago. Starr managed to match him scene for scene and hopefully will have better roles and writers in the future who can maximize his potential.
