Yep, same here. I stopped watching on my own after season 3. I only tolerated the two last seasons as a part of a "Netflix & Chill" arrangement. Girls were surprisingly into the series until the absolute dogshit ending.
That's because certain characters like Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, and to a limited extent, Cersei Lannister, allow them to feel strong. That a woman is commanding lords, assassinating entire houses, blowing up popes, or riding dragons and leading armies into battle, makes them feel like they can be that kind of queen, too. Then the ending came and their idol burned a whole city to the ground after her emotions got the better of her, in a sort of gender-swapped Full Metal Jacket scenario, and they lost their shit, not accepting that the character they looked up to can be capable of such evil.

I don't have the time/patience to watch a show that isn't interesting and, to me, Homelander as the series anchor is the only thing keeping this series interesting. Homelander himself and watching other characters interact with him reminds me of some of the writing from the SCP universe - very scary stuff. I keep imagining how the foundation would design an enclosure to contain Homelander.
Yes, I can see Homelander being a good SCP case, especially since there's no established kyrptonite for him, unlike Kryptonians who can be weakened by kryptonite or red sunlight, the Saiyans with their tails, or the Viltrumites who have the hearing weakness. In the comics, Black Noir kills him, but Black Noir was a clone of Homelander, so it's just a case of the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object.

Although, if it were me, I'd create a reverse Compound V that turns a Supe into a regular human being for 24 hours a day, so that we can have at least a few minutes of Homelander acting all scared because he no longer has his powers. In the comic, Black Noir just punches out his jaw and rips him to pieces, considering how much of a piece of shit Homelander is, I'd prefer that he suffers for a bit before he inevitably bites the bullet.

For some reason, episode 4 is only available on Fire devices unlike their usual shadow release on Thursday nights. I decide, that after not seeing the episode pop up neither on my Xbox or smart TV, to watch it on my 4K Fire stick. God-awful quality. I was starting to wonder why I bought an OLED TV after seeing some demo displays recently. I'm seeing pink and green tints on Startlight's face. Everything seems washed out with the tones of everything being off. I may be over exaggerating, but my eyes would be having an unsightly reaction if they could. I'm taking my sleeping meds with the hope of an episode 4 available on my TV.

P.S. Homelander's second scene makes me metaphorically jump with glee at the thought of a visceral disememberment starting with his jaw. And A-Trains commercial is hilarious. I may be a simp for this show, but it's the only other American show I've had this much enjoyment with since House of Cards S1 & S2 (pinnacle of TV to me).

It's interesting to finally see Homelander outplay Stan Edgar, but the way he continues to treat him like a spoiled banana tells me that he has some kind of endgame to play against Homelander. Either that, or the show's yanking my expectations around again.

Ask, and ye shall receive.

I definitely agree. It's also possible that he just has absolute contempt for Homelander and isn't afraid of dying. If I were in charge of writing the show, I'd deconstruct the source of compound V to understand any potential check Vaught has on Homelander. Where and how exactly are they getting this substance that turns humans into demigods?

For example, it'd be really cool if they were harvesting compound V from a sleeping God or some sort of eldritch horror. Then Stan's check would be to "wake" that thing up if Homelander goes rogue. His thinking would be that death would be preferable to servitude to Homelander. Then the climax is a race to stop Stan Edgar (if Homelander is already defeated) or to temporarily put aside their differences because Homelander is the only human that'd be able to toe-to-toe with it.

I thought she was OP in S1. Got nerfed into the ground S2 and 3. How was she in the comics, if anyone doesn't mind telling me?
She was a unstoppable killing machine and she was the muscle and by far the strongest member of the boys ( which is ironic since she is the smallest)

Her whole entire existence is that she needs to hurt, kill or maim someone or she would go through withdrawals that’s her nature. (( that is why for example, after being nearly beaten to death by Stormfront she breaks Hughie after waking up from the coma)

And the only reason why she tolerates frenchie is because he is the first one that treated like a normal human being.

I also hate show hughie as well

There ia still time to do that plot, is pretty good and in line with the show's wackiness.

I'd watch that. The Deep could have some sort of massive crush to that underwater eldritch horror and the Boys debating it if they should help homelander defeating or not.

For me, I'd have it so that Homelander was only a prototype. A faulty one. And that Vought would be working on "perfected" versions of him that can easily snap his neck, wear his costume, and seamlessly fit in. Once they come online, Stan Edgar stops holding back and has a clone come in, snap Homelander's neck, dispose of his body, and wear his suit. Then come the next day, Starlight and Queen Maeve show up for work, only to find Homelander to be every bit the Christian gentleman that Vought markets him as; he starts each meeting with a prayer, he cooks breakfast for the whole team, and he politely hears out their complaints and concerns. When Starlight and Queen Maeve are completely flabbergasted by the sight of it, Stan comes in and explains everything to the two super-women, and he even shows them footage of the original Homelander losing his shit and getting killed by his clone. The new Homelander then tells the girls that they should pray for the soul of the original Homelander, hoping that God would forgive him for his sins.

That sounds very SCP-ish, and would fit in to the show's dark narrative. Compound V was just a super-drug in the comics, if the show went this route and made it the blood of some slumbering elder god, it would be quite the twist, especially if Stan wakes it up and the heroes have to work with Homelander to fight it.

They still have several seasons to answer the questions I'm asking. The old comic just answered it by having Black Noir be a clone of Homelander, who's there to snap his neck the moment he goes rogue. Although ironically enough, Black Noir in the comics was responsible for all the evil shit that Billy blamed Homelander for, so Homelander became evil by mistake. I don't know if the show replaced the Black Noir who got his face blown off with a clone of Homelander, but we'll see.

I really hope it doesn't end this way. The "suddenly villain emerges, and he's the cause of all evil" is such a shitty trope...

The fact that they don't show his face in the present makes me wonder if their's a surprise twist in the near future
You see Noir's disfigurement in his fight with the super terrorist and when Maeve stuffs his face full of nuts.
