That's because certain characters like Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, and to a limited extent, Cersei Lannister, allow them to feel strong. That a woman is commanding lords, assassinating entire houses, blowing up popes, or riding dragons and leading armies into battle, makes them feel like they can be that kind of queen, too. Then the ending came and their idol burned a whole city to the ground after her emotions got the better of her, in a sort of gender-swapped Full Metal Jacket scenario, and they lost their shit, not accepting that the character they looked up to can be capable of such evil.Yep, same here. I stopped watching on my own after season 3. I only tolerated the two last seasons as a part of a "Netflix & Chill" arrangement. Girls were surprisingly into the series until the absolute dogshit ending.
Yes, I can see Homelander being a good SCP case, especially since there's no established kyrptonite for him, unlike Kryptonians who can be weakened by kryptonite or red sunlight, the Saiyans with their tails, or the Viltrumites who have the hearing weakness. In the comics, Black Noir kills him, but Black Noir was a clone of Homelander, so it's just a case of the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object.I don't have the time/patience to watch a show that isn't interesting and, to me, Homelander as the series anchor is the only thing keeping this series interesting. Homelander himself and watching other characters interact with him reminds me of some of the writing from the SCP universe - very scary stuff. I keep imagining how the foundation would design an enclosure to contain Homelander.
Although, if it were me, I'd create a reverse Compound V that turns a Supe into a regular human being for 24 hours a day, so that we can have at least a few minutes of Homelander acting all scared because he no longer has his powers. In the comic, Black Noir just punches out his jaw and rips him to pieces, considering how much of a piece of shit Homelander is, I'd prefer that he suffers for a bit before he inevitably bites the bullet.
