The Boys - An Amazon Prime adaptation of the Ennis comic series

The Boys is the embodiment of the "It's too late, I've depicted you as the soyjack and me the chad!". Their satire is just taking memes and pasting their characters' names in.

If it's any comfort, Kripke lost EVERY FUCKING THING SAVE THE CLOTHING ON HIS BACK during the LA fires and allegedly had the hand of God follow that up with a second hit in the face over the creative direction of season five.

Rumor is floating around that huge chunks of already filmed footage involving the right wing death camp plot were ordered to be scrapped/the entire story arc cut and huge chunks of the scripts for season five deleted, resulting in Kripke, now basically without a home and everything he ever owned reduced to ashes, having to film random scenes from the remains of scripts that Bezos didn't bar hin from filming and that Kripke had to get on his knees to be allowed to keep Homelanders final fate, whatever it ends up being at this point. And given that he's homeless, no longer has a single personal belonging to his name, or memorabilia from his past shows, petty twitter shit posting is all he can do since Bezos apparently no longer wants to deal with Kripke complicating his attempts to get into Trump's good graces.

Why the fuck are they so dead-set on making Anglo-American conservatives the new Nazis? AA conservatives are their own kind of stupid; there's no need to remold them into something else, especially when their preferred method of dealing with the Untermenschen is to boot them from the country, not put them in death camps. Make them their own brand of stupid; like say, the Supes burn down the local clubhouse of a kid who plays DnD because a local pastor accused him of being a demoniac, or maybe they drag the daughter of a family back home to be "corrected" and be forced to marry some guy so she can have kids, after she ran away and tried to join a lesbian heavy metal band.

It would actually be interesting if a German supe steps up to Homelander and says that what he's doing is worse than what Hitler did. Then Homelander responds by saying that the standards and ethics of "mud people" don't apply to him and those like him. It would actually show A) Homelander's gone off the deep end and has lost all sense of morality, and B) what we see as right and wrong are things that he doesn't give a shit about, because as far as he's concerned, we're "mud people" and our opinions on what is right or wrong don't matter to him.

They can't even write them as Nazis properly. Stormfront is the "most racist woman alive" but says "black piece of shit" instead of "nigger". And instead of using her powers to just wipe out random arab or asian countries she spends her time making Vought movies.

Not really. If you have to have characters explain the allegory and real life parallels to the audience directly then you are a hack. Modern writers have their characters spew everything to a dumb audience. "It's just like Hitler" or "this is just like 9/11 or JFK" instead of the audience figuring out the real life equivalent. We already have this with The Boys where the show is no longer parodying superheroes but parodying the Trump administration in the lamest ways possible.

Hell, the one person Stormfront racially picks on among the Boys is Kimiko, the Japanese chick, which confused me, since Japan and the Nazis were once allies. If anything, she should've made a snide remark about Japan's decline, saying something along the lines of "when I was young, your people were warriors and conquerors who brought all of Asia to heel! Now your people work themselves to death for soulless corporations while your youth spend their nights jacking off to hentai, to the point where they're practically going to be extinct thanks to a growing lack of children. What a sad end to such a noble and proud warrior race!"

That's why I wanted to subvert it. To the point where when someone calls Homelander the next Hitler, he doesn't give a flying fuck about it, because to him, that's just the name of some mud-person who killed a lot of mud-people; he wouldn't give a shit about the Holocaust or the Nazis, like when Stormfront tried to get him to care about the culture war and protecting white, American civilization, his response was just him barely giving a damn.

Ironically enough, as the series has gone on, and stripped more and more from Homelander in terms of the trappings of normality; the closer has come to becoming the Overman.

Governed only by his own will, he goes through suffering and solitude and emerges on the other side. He makes his own meaning. I suppose the lack of love for humanity as whole might disqualify him though.
 
I think what he meant is that Homelander is already the "Overman" you're talking about. As in, y'know, the Ubermensch... Superman... grimdark Superman that Homelander is supposed to be by definition...

Nah, he's too in love with public opinion, too bound up by his own traumatic childhood. Physically he's a god, sure; but mentally he's still trapped by societal expectations.
I think when this is all over, a supercut of Homelander going from bitchwhipped mommas boy to - hopefully - sperging out and destroying everything could be fun.

I would stick with the idea that evil Batman's goals are purely a mental thrill. He is so bored with his wealth that he intentionally keeps villains around, perhaps even busting them out of jail personally, just for the flex of treating the city as his personal playground. He brutalizes other vigilantes who dare threaten his game by trying to stop his rogues for good, selfishly valuing the stimulation of the status quo over the countless lives it costs. Because honestly, canon moments like Batman saving Joker by acquitting him from the electric chair or stabbing Red Hood in the neck are so stupid it's ripe for character critique.

You can go with that, too. Either way, making the Batman who spares murderous bad guys and throws them in a revolving-door prison into an evil son of a bitch makes more sense canon-wise than Batman doing the same thing despite being good. Even good people have put murderers six feet under without any moral quandaries. I mean, you don't see Optimus Prime crying about the fact that he killed Decepticons left and right, nor do you see Luke Skywalker shedding buckets of tears over the Death Star exploding, or the fact that his father killed the Emperor for him.

Shit, speaking of the Boys, fucking Homelander can clean up Gotham better than comic book Batman could. He'd laser the Rogues Gallery in half, then most of the crooks would know to keep their heads down and stick to white-collar crime, because John in his lazy-ass way of dealing with criminals would just take the serious criminals and laser them into pieces.
