Media literacy is supposed to mean your ability to dissect and understand media. What it ends up meaning, the way the internet uses it, is "You don't like this so you don't get it and this is my way of not having to explain myself"
"Media Literacy" is just an excuse to act like a stuck up asshole especially when the majority dislikes the thing.

So much writing crap today is the result of prioritising immediate reaction and short-term gain in lieu of legacy or longevity. Every show that failed to stick the ending can be traced to this. I think he attempted to shoehorn in a theme or message beyond Trump (something something politics and cults) but it's inexorable from his Trump hate-boner. The Kripke seemed to hate the cope of "the show criticises both sides!" as much as its detractors given he did everything he could in the end to make it as hyper-partisan as possible.

i legitimately wonder how the fuck anyone in western media has money anymore after burning so much

Okay. So. I have seen the scene with Homelander's dream about him receiving the crown of thorns from Jesus, crowning him as the new God or something.

One huge thing I have noticed from that scene is the crown of thorns itself. There are no thorns inside the crown ... Which defeats the purpose of the crown of thorns in the first place (anyone with a lick of sense knows this).

This was a huuuuge opportunity to do something with Homelander; to showcase that he has absolutely zero clue what it takes to be considered a God or a savior. Given that there's really no payoff to the crown of thorns being the way they are in his delusions, that tells me the showrunners had no clue themselves what the crown of thorns actually means? That they only used this as a way to poke fun at Christianity and depict Jesus in a comical way?

Wouldn't shock me given that this entire show was written by reddit-tier atheists.

It's almost sad that Starr had to tard wrangle his own showrunner but at least people are giving him the credit he deserves for delivering an excellent screen performance every time he was in a scene
If I were Starr I would have balked at Homelander’s death as scripted. “Please don’t kill me, I’ll do anything” would have been enough. The actual lines written were pure kike spite manifesting in their over-the-top presentation.

While we’re at it, Oh Father’s death was retarded. What level of credulity does an audience need to have to believe that the incredible coincidences of the device used being available AND his ‘killer’ knowing to use it are good writing?

i wonder how much staying power this will have

it's perfect for the shield

That and flip-flopping Soldier Boy who randomly loves Stormfront.

AI would just add this point to 'establish drama and character depth'.
It was the Ai glazing, that made kripke think he hit the jackpot.

"I think you're onto something, here.. "

"You've really started to connect all the dots!"

I'll be happy when this bubble bursts, and 3/4ths these company's go out of business. With the way it's looking, even if they don't file bankruptcy, the ram market/supply chain completely collapsing will cause it either way.

You have a lot to learn about how this stuff is financed, how it makes money and who prints the cash to make it.

oh come on
you guys are acting like classic greek myths are revolutionary

oh fuck, they are
When every single storyline is "Subversive" being not "Subversive" is revolutionary.

Christopher Reeves Superman would be revolutionary if it came out today because its Superman being a good guy and not an evil asshole or a useless cuck.

That Elon Musk parody was so shit and not funny at all they just said that he has multiple kids is rich and cares about the decline of white birth which is all true so where is the joke
It's just preaching to the choir of redditors.

Jesus Christ, he’s creaming his pants over a one-word review. He really did just absolutely tank his show because he wanted to “own” Trump and Elon.

Absolutely pathetic.
Kek! This is exactly why the show went to shit, this kike can't keep his greedy little grabbly hands from... twitter. He's so fucking ass blasted that he needs to take jabs at Elon, that owns the website whose whole writing level is based on. Please, it would be so funny if he banned him just to see his twitter withdraw hit harder than the season reviews.

That there is what makes this such a shit ending, Edgar is the true villain of the show and he basically won, he's free to do this all over again.

The "heroes" did all of what they did for nothing and that's probably because we know Kripke is a nihilistic person, you notice it in everything he's ever worked on.
It makes it suck more because Mother’s Milk did say he’d put a bullet in Edgar’s skull.

I've decided to re-read the comic. The G-men and Super Duper arcs are unironically leagues above the last two seasons. Better written, better at fleshing out the main characters, funnier, and more emotionally impactful.
