The memes spawned from Homelander's fetishistic final speech are pretty much the only entertaining thing to come from this finale.

They're already shilling Vought Rising trailers when this show's corpse isnt even cold yet.
That's because the show isn't over. Vought Rising will cover points beyond season five of The Boys. Gen V season three was also supposed to cover a year after the public death of Homelander. So Kripke is desperately hoping that he can get another season of Vought Rising or Boys Mexico to actually finish the stories of Soldier Boy, Vought, Starlight, Marie, Compound V, and everything else.
Imagine after Breaking Bad ended the next fucking day Better Call Saul starts getting marketed.
It was. The show was announced before Breaking Bad's last season was airing. They were already hyping up the show in the media.

Another idea I just had for the ending was this.

Homelander dies without begging to eat shit or anything like that and then Vought shows up and thanks Butcher and Hughie for saving the country from the clearly insane Homelander and starts talking about how he will make things right. Butcher and Hughie look at Vought with disgust and Butcher orders Hughie out of the room.

Vought then starts using corporate speak to try and weasel his way out of responsibility but Butcher has had it, he tells Vought that everything that happened was his doing and that Homelander was only a monster because that is what Vought made him, Vought says mistakes were made but he will do better next time. Butcher refuses to have any of that and reveals that he has had a bomb with a deadman's switch strapped to himself the whole time, just in case Homelander got the upper hand in the battle, Butcher then says this has to end now.

Vought is then the one who begs for his life, he offers to put Butcher in charge of a new Seven, give him control of the company, anything but Butcher just shakes his head and then detonates that bomb, killing both him and Vought.

What do you think?
By "Vought", do you mean Stan Edgar? Because that would make sense.

At least Starr is a professional and fought to keep HL from going full Trump. Dude still gave 100% and did the best he could to turn chicken shit into chicken salad despite Kripke's writing.
If they really wanted to fuck with Trump, they should've just done what they did with Elon Musk. Make a Trump expy, have it so that Vought is backing him up to get the support of conservative America, but then both Soldier Boy and Homelander slowly chafe under the guy. He does everything Trump does, like tariff wars and mass deportations, both of which hurt Vought's bottom line, as they rely on migrant workers and overseas trade. Then, when the Trump expy tells Homelander and Soldier Boy that he's deploying them to aid in his invasion of Iran, they kill the shit out of him and pin the blame on the Starlighters, especially once the Vought shareholders give SB and HL the green light to kill the Trump expy because they're sure as fuck getting tired of his shenanigans hurting their profits.

That way, you show how stupid Trump is, how self-destructive he is to the American corporate state which relies just as much on the global economy, and you get to have your villains kill the shit out of him. That way, the Trump-haters get the satisfaction of seeing an effigy of his get brutalized and murdered onscreen, satisfying their violent murder-boners towards the guy, while the Trump-fans start hating the villains that you want the crowd to hate. It's a win-win!

Bro, your show sucked. Let it fucking fester a little bit before you start shoving your next tub of slop in people's faces.
They're not even hiding the fact that they gutted Season 5 of this show just to shill its prequel.

They're not even bothering to hide their greed anymore.........

You have to love when people that claim to be media literate think that a guy that was worried about negative memes about himself would offer to degrade himself in such a way. They really should have had Homelander retreat even further into his delusions to protect himself from the reality of him being a normal human so Butcher could feel unsatisfied when he finally gets his revenge after seven long years and that could lead to Butcher wanting to kill all supes.
No. They should've had Homelander use the last bit of his intelligence and goad Butcher into killing him quickly. Have it so that after Homelander was depowered, Starlight, Hughie, and MM want to drag Homelander into the limelight and force him to answer for his crimes, but Homelander would rather die on his own terms, so he goads Butcher into killing him by using Becca's name and insulting her honor. Have Homelander something along the lines of "she squealed real good when I came into her" or "if I could go back and do to her what I did, I'd do it again!" Butcher gets pissed enough to use his tentacles to swat away the other members of the gang and beat the shit out of Homelander, killing him with the aforementioned crowbar. Homelander dies with a smile, at peace with the fact that he's leaving behind the world he hated at last.

That way, Homelander is still portrayed as an unrepentant piece of shit, but a clever, unrepentant piece of shit. He still keeps his dignity. He keeps his villainous valor. Having been tortured as early as a kid, he knows that all his chances for a peaceful life are over. So he'd rather die on his own terms than be humiliated by the enemy. That would at least give him one last aura move, while giving the people who wanted him dead some good catharsis.

Why would Butcher need to be goaded into killing Homelander? It's not like he listens to The Boys and he always insists that everyone does things his way. Season 5 Homelander had lost all grasp on reality so him being aware of the situation enough to offer blowjobs for survival or taunt people into killing him is pretty dumb, he should have been clinging to his visions of angels and godhood right to the end so he goes out still believing he's better than everyone else. Plus Butcher being denied the satisfaction of finally getting revenge would work as motivation for his plan to kill all supes way better than his wife's son that he knows hates him telling him he hates him and his old as hell dog dying off screen.

Also I just want to say that Butcher's plan was retarded. The virus has no way to spread since it instantly kills supes and apparently V1 supes and regular humans can't transmit it. Am I supposed to assume that every supe in the world checks in at Vought Tower in the morning?

I'm getting sick of the memes about Homelander pathetically begging for his life, it's literally like Loss in it's prevalence.

Watched the beginning of this show on a poorly explained recommendation from some one else, initially I thought it was just going to be normies figuring out how to kill superfags, it was only like that for the first half of an episode than it just went onto this meandering garbage, pretty quickly became obvious that it was written by speds with no sense of structure(or talent). Dipped out pretty early enjoyed some of the peripheral memes, then heard it ended watched the homelander scene, seemed funny but very lacking.

I don't even understand hate-watching this show, it's as pathetic as homelander begging for his life when it tries to be overtly gross and shocking to draw people in so they sit through melodrama and some jewish dude trying to use fictional characters in his story to own his political opponents on twitter(lol)

For me it was because there were so many ways they could have fixed every issue the writing had with ease, but somehow they were so retarded they just couldn't figure it out. It was like watching someone get stuck in a Chinese finger trap and while trying to get free they somehow find four more of them and get all of their fingers and thumbs trapped.

I said it before in the Amazing Circus thread, but it seems like writers these days Love to pick high fantasy concepts to draw viewers in then they don't know what to do with the concept and cast it aside because they just wanted to make a show into a personal therapy session.

How can a dull-witted narcissist imagine anything greater and more important than themself?

It's also because the networks slash budgets to ribbons. Almost no shows go beyond four seasons even at places like HBO. The Boys has now eight seasons of material and enough story for three or four. But the budget for the last five seasons of the franchise were really only enough to make two or three well produced seasons. They clearly gutted the last two seasons of The Boys to pay for Gen V and Vought Rising.

@TheHarbinger many years ago I knew a dude who's handle started with 'TheHarbingerOf...' and he was a great dude that I miss talking to. No idea if that was you but since don't have your profile enabled I'm just gonna spam up this thread to mention that completely irrelevant piece of information.

Anyway carry on.

I don't understand why the "suck cock and even eat shit" line became viral. It comes off as a lame Western ripoff attempt at that one infamous line from the Night Shift Nurses hentai:

its a ripoff of that scene in the shield

where the captain is forced at gunpoint to suck the tweakers off

this one scene is better than the entirety of da soys lol

I don't think anyone is thinking of of a super obscure anime, weeb.

It became viral because it's weird and stupid. The writers wanted a scene where Homelander begs for his life but couldn't think how to portray that in a way that's within his character, so they defaulted to some of their fantasy power game nonsense for the shock factor.

It has the exact same energy as the notorious loss comic
