The main thing I tried to do with this rewrite is end the story so people could stop watching after the final episode. You know, the way TV shows used to work.

There were 11 seasons of the Walking dead, a show with a total of one good season and that was the first season. You would be surprised how long people will keep eating garbage to try and get the first hit of quality again.

Lol, TWD never had a "good" season. It was always unevenly written. The missteps simply hadn't had time to accrue in the first season.
And the cast was almost uniformly great, and the show looked great, and it sounded great, and the premise was compelling. That kept it feeling worthwhile until I couldn't stand it anymore.
90% sure that the reason they did that is because the writers get turned on by Nazi women and I bet the character was quite fetish-y.

Now I'm certainly not going to try and claim the Nazis were okay with Black and Chinese people. They're the archetypal racial supremacists. But... there were Black soldiers in the German army. I think there were even Black Nazis. When Jesse Owens won gold at the Olympics a common attitude amongst the Nazis was more along the lines of Black people being more like gazelles or something. Still racist but different. One of my pet peeves is people turning the Nazis into cheap caricatures and in particular re-writing them to fit modern politics. It was Jews the Nazis targeted more than anyone else. Jews were the primary focus of Nazi propaganda and ethnic cleansing. I would imagine an actual Nazi superhero to be focused on that in American society. But I have a hunch they made it mostly about Black people and generic "I'm racist". I didn't watch it. I just know how these writers think.

No indication of that being the intent. I think the reason why they cast a Jew for the role was to keep it from getting too offensive or some other lame reason. The actress was awful too, you could tell she was incredibly uncomfortable with the role and couldn't bring herself to actually be believably racist.
This I can kind of excuse since the show was set in modern times and she would change over time. The Asian guy she killed was in the present and there was a flashback to the 70s where she killed a black guy which really came off as her doing it because she could get away with it since it was an empty rural road late at night. The worst part about it was her calling him "black trash" I believe instead of just calling him a nigger. Modern writing doesn't even let racists be racist correctly.
