Maybe, I'll never say never though. I think in Ireland is a distinct possibility, Gaels and built different. The concept of it is that it's not a "civil" war where there's pre established groupings within a pre established order ala Parliamentarians vs Roundheads/Reds vs Whites/or even Kuomintang vs Everyone Else. When (if) the GREAT CLEANSING lights up it'll be the chaos of the French Revolution on steroids tea and opium because there's no organisation; just sheer mass discontent, assuming something ever happens (lol imagine) there'd be a Bastille moment and the "groups" would spring up like mushrooms from there.

There is precedent within living memory for this, the fall of the Iron Curtain despite what the vatniks tell you wasn't (100% at least) a CIA gayopp, nor was the Iranian revolution or the near miss that was the Tiananmen Square incident; it's pure undirected energy and where it leads is anyone's guess, could well be straight back into the ground but it's gotta go somewhere.

I briefly shared a flat with a lady who lived through all that. All fine on the surface, papering over the cracks and then within a month her family had people disappear, her flat had a rocket fired into it that thankfully didn’t go off, but did take the outer wall out, and her neighbours massacred each other. Some pretty bad stuff happened to her as well. Urban warfare is nasty.
‘If you think it can’t happen here, you’re wrong’ she always said. I used to think it never could on the mainland , but now that we’ve had such massive demographic change I feel it’s inevitable.
The insanity is that we’ve already lived through serious civil strife. The troubles were not fun, and I’m aghast that people seem to have forgotten all about it. I guess most of it was nearly 30 years ago so we’ve got an entire generation who never got evacuated from a bomb threat, or had family killed.

Besides, most of the violence from the yugoslav countries was driven by government-supported militias, and ALL ex-yugoslav countries had them, except for maybe the non-combatants like Montenegro and Macedonia. The UK is not in that same situation. The military would probably be appalled by the idea of turning guns on their own countrymen, even in a civil war or rebellion and especially when family members join the rebels.

The big change will probably be a right wing anti-immigration party getting elected. 50/50 on whether or not they'll actually do the deportations, and 50/50 again on whether or not they are successful in the deportations. Lots of immigrants will get away and lots of immigrants will "get away"

The Montenegrins spent the war shelling Dubrovnik and stealing refrigerators and other kitchen appliances from southern coastal Croatia among other shenanigans and the Macedonians had their own state of emergency shortly after the western intervention in Kosovo when Albanian seperatists in Macedonia tried their luck, ultimately to no avail. This war was lower intensity than the earlier wars but there were still hundreds of casualties.

The big difference is that power in the UK isn't nearly as devolved as it was in late Yugoslavia, though I would be very doubtful that there exists any real democracy in the west anymore, for several decades now the only opinions that matter are those of the oligarchs that run things, and they and their pet politicians have been getting progressively more stupid and delusional as real conditions for normal people worsen. I'm not an expert by any means but things seem especially bad in the UK.
