To be clear, I've got zero sympathy for the police but the situation the government has put them in is a shitty one.

Here’s some ideas about what’s going to happen:

1. The cops go on an arresting spree after the brass tells them “You go against my orders, your pensions are fucking history!”

2. If the cops don’t do what they’re told, the military comes in to quell the uprising, and they’ve been given the same talk about pensions, along with some talk about how they can “kiss an honorable discharge goodbye”.

3. The British government calls for help from nearby like minded countries, if Brexit didn’t completely sever those ties.

They may all be drastic, but Starmer has shown he’s willing to use drastic measures against those he hates, and the rioters are a prime example of the target of his hatred.

I'm just going to point out some interesting facts of history and nothing more.

So, since the beginning of time one person has been able to take a rock and beat another man's head in with said rock. Very easy to do, anyone can do it. Still primative, yet more effective.
