I have to admit I am more invested in watching new updates of this series then I am of Geno's (sorry, @SamuellyGenie!) lately, just for the horrific little tidbits above and of course the views of Chris's teenager-junkpiled room of toys and crap, the bellowing beagles and listening to him sperg out on gravity, as well as the well done drawings. Now if only they'd ditch the incredibly cringy fake Chris-Chan voiceovers this might become quality yet.

As a documentary, I like Geno's better. It has more information and Geno's voice is easy for me to listen to. On the other hand, this documentary has something Geno doesn't have -- new content. Both the previously-unreleased video, and the cool faux-Chris drawings.

So for me, Geno's doc is like a pleasant way to go down memory lane. The Mars doc isn't as good at that. I appreciate the Ken Burns style though, and it might be better to show to normies. The new Chris content though is golden.

Also regarding Apu: many/most Indians love Apu. Yeah he plays on stereotypes, but most of them are true to some degree. I think it's mostly white people desperate to be a savior, and young liberal arts studies college indignant victim-clout Indian-Americans who complain.

Apu is actually one of the smartest, most level-headed people in the show.

Of course Chris was still being an idiot.

I'm struck by how deranged Chris became. I didn't follow Chris that closely between the Idea Guys and the Merge (though I do remember the Praetor stuff coming out and hoping in vain that it would lead to some new and exciting Chirs spergery). He really went down hill. Sure, he was always a child prone to fantasy but the new footage hit me a strange way. His mental illnesses definitely got worse and worse as time went on, accelerated no doubt by Joshua Wise. For me the new clips draw out a clear line between the end of that saga and his collapsing grasp on reality and reduced ability to behave anything like a normal human being.

Damn, Clover is fucked. I wouldn't be surprised if she has been put down. Only the most generous soul could tolerate adopting such a neurotic beast. The Chandlers are of course mostly to blame but that wouldn't make caring for her any easier. Poor thing.

I actually thought the voice actors in this doc were fine. It's an interesting choice and doesn't take me out of it at all. On the whole the doc is well done and I look forward to seeing more of the new footage.

Personally, I like this new one more than the Geno´s series, I find this one more simplified that the CWCki readings that the comprehensive History series are sometimes, also the drawings are genius, I´m dying for the drawings of the Tomboy saga

watching the chris0chan conspiracy documentary
theres alot of parts that are conveniently left out
which has a somewhat more sympathetic tone painted on Chris
i mean they did mention that he did fuck up here and there
but they left out alot of things and paint him more of a victim than he actually is.

and its reflected in the comment section aswell that the comments seem more of people left aghast at how awful the trolls were the entire time.

On a side note, I hate it when people blame every awful thing Chris did on internet trolls. Some of it was legit manipulation, but most of it was because he's just a garbage person.

it was only mentioned once as a footnote, it didnt fully elaborate to the extent of Megan and Chris' interactions to Megan.
the Shecameforcwc is mentioned like it should and all, and the "oh if i didnt draw this, i would of sexually assaulted someone with my crazy hormones" bit of the email (well he didnt say it that way but we all know what Chris meant)

Yeah, 2019 Chris seemed to have a George RR Martin vibe, the kind of person you think "yeah he's a bit weird but he's an artist". It's like Chris was finding his place in pop culture as a legitimate minor celebrity instead of a lolcow.

This doc was already whitewashing Christory for zoomer sensibilities yet still comes in an at unwieldy 5 hours. If the mofoing didn't happen, the Chris Chan story would be whittled down to a 15 minute canon about a bullied disabled person who made mistakes while trying to make sense of their lives. Once she rediscovered her womanhood she became the beautiful, touchy-feely good person she was always supposed to be.

Instead, Chris' story is one a fake-trans crazy person who did unspeakable things to family members and is followed around 24/7 by internet freaks.

Some things can't be fixed, I think that even if he was isolated from the internet his fate would be the same today just with nobody watching.

Except the every three days would continue until he goes full bates and his neighbors complain about the smell.

GFM should have contacted Null for an interview on Chris. Chris's letter to Null about him having sexy time with an older woman was the smoking gun that Chris knew he was doing something universally vile and wasn't just making up a story for the Idea Guys/Bella.
