No, Will Jordan started out doing gaming videos several years ago, long before he adopted (refined) his 'Critical Drinker' persona. His early videos were mainly focused on the Resident Evil game franchise. Insofar as ego is concerned, it takes a big ego to stick it out and make it in show business whatever the media or platform. It is, after all, a job motivated by a desire to be seen, to stand out, to be famous.

And yes, his Rogue Elements show really does come off as clunky and amateurish. His novels--some of which I've read--are barebones action/adventure fare, readable but not re-readable, nothing special. He's better as a reviewer than as an original creator, which is probably true of most critics.

Well the video is from his gaming channel, which he set up a year ago to do some gaming videos, but yeah he seems pretty casual as a gamer. And he's done some gaming videos before then.

But he's not exactly wrong, traditional gaming media has been dying a slow death for almost twenty years because of its incompetence, now people prefer to trust indies who aren't being bought. Not knowing that a lot of those guys are also being brought to those press releases and shit to try and sway them into being kiss asses.

Honestly, what bugs me is him acting like him, Asmotwat and ect are this "new thing that replaces gaming journos" but...mofo, this shit has been going down ever since we stopped having gaming magazines. Like, you dickweeds aren't special in any regard, but you're acting like you're this big new thing.

i remember him on gggmanlives talking about how much he liked timesplitters 3. ive stopped watching him because i never watched him for politics and just for funny movie videos, but man if he does a timesplitters series id watch him again

He’s also a big Resident Evil fan. You can disagree with his gaming takes, or any of his takes for that matter, but he’s a gamer.

People need to learn to just say “I fucking hate this guy” instead of schizo-theorizing how they’re a secret 60D chess grifter because they’re too embarrassed about the level to which they hate a person without it. Faggot behavior.

He's literally dropped a couple of videogame videos each year, and opened another channel for gaming stuff because people watch him for movie shit and not gaming shit

Him doing a video trying to dunk on Will would be hilarious. I'm actually surprised no one has had the balls to go after Rogue Elements and point out what a hypocrite Wil Jordan is. But the truth is they're scared, because they know he has way more ammo against them than they do against him. Which is a shame, because Moviebob trying to review Rogue Elements, and Wil doing a response video would get some lols.

Think would be mo funny if a small-time channel went after Drinker and tore his movie apart, I can only imagine how much it would be a stab at the guys ego.
 
Capitol O-pinions should do it. He's small enough and with good enough credentials to do it. And his little film contest comedy horror short made in a weekend is far better than Rogue Elements. Only I guess he's still in Mauler's crew so probably not going to happen.

It felt like a show that would have been an okay knock-off of 24. Problem is, we no longer live in that post-Cold World era where Ex-KGB are running around being the scary rogue bogeymen. Today, the Russians are more like an antagonist faction in Gundam where they aren't necessarily villains and have legitimate causes to fight for. Now, the CIA and FBI are the villains in a spy thriller.

Ye, but I doubt Drinker would have the balls to piss on CIA or FBI legs, specially since both left or right ready to suck 'em off, whenever either side has control over the white house. Which is weird, because the CIA and FBI being villains was like the staple during the 90s for many shows and writers and I do recall that shit made Tom Clancy seethe with rage.
