The Detractor - Official DSP Video Game

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Normally I find DSP content repetitive and stay away from it. Than something genuinely funny like this comes along and I'm pulled back into watching him.
DSP is a boring fuck of a lolcow and anyone who disagrees is a faggot but I'll definitely be playing this once I find a cracked version of the game so I don't have to give anyone involved money
Sometimes Phil can be boring yes, but please don't try to ruin the fun for people who do follow him.
This is probably the most catastrophically owned DSP has ever been since the day he was born.
Nothing for me tops the time Phil got owned by his own parents when they didn't get him that wolverine toy he wanted.

Must've been the "positivity" he was talking about.

Immediately purchased a copy. I hope phil sues and wins so the money goes to him in a roundabout way because that would be so fucking funny.
THANKS FOR THE MONEY, DUMMIES!
I don't think it's illegal, it's clearly parody using nothing but clips of what Phil has actually said in a transformative manner. It's more like how South Park put Jared Fogle into one of their video games as a boss. Phil probably could get it taken down as "bullying" though Steam though.
I am not a lawyer but I don't think those are comparable. In the south park game it was original artwork and lines referencing him. Conversely, these developers have literally just taken frames of phil's face and clips of things he has said, and put them in the game. I suppose you could argue that the way they're using them is transformative, but to my understanding that's more of a fair use argument used for artwork and such. This would probably be a right to publicity argument since it's literally his face,

this is amazing just bought the game. Im calling it right now if Phil is informed about this he will start making claims about suing the devs for "Using his likeness in a video game"

I really do hope they have a reference about Phil and his fair use arc in there. Would be pretty poetic if Phil does go down the likeness route
